My daughter is 7 years old and really loves doing ballet.  She has taken G.1 exam in May, 08 and now in G.2 ballet.

我個女8歲, 都係考左g1啦攞左merit, 依加g2!

My daughter is going to promot to pre-primary level. She is learning ballet in the Methodist Centre. The teacher said she needs to take one more lesson on Sunday morning to prepare for the exam.   However, we need to go to church on Sunday.  Do anyone know which ballet school in HK side they have the weekday classes?  Thanks!

My daughter has learnt ballet since 3 years old, and now she is 8 years old. She will have G3 ballet examination in the coming year. She has just changed her ballet school in this month.
For edf, maybe you can try JMW School of Ballet in North Point Tel: 28863992. I like the environment over there very much. The teachers are very professional.

My daughter is learning Primary and will take the exam next year. Will your daughters practise at home? Is it enought just dancing at the school?

在家練練壓腿，一字馬或大字馬也就可以了，舞步稍稍練習當然好，但沒有音樂，沒有同伴一起練相信都成效不大罷？ 而且只是primary，grade 5 以下其實也不用太緊張，當一項運動或課外活動也就是了，除非目標是要拿什麼比賽獎項或以ballet為終身職業，她們那麼少，就讓小朋友享受一下音樂，節奏和舞蹈吧!

My baby is just 3 three years old.  She started to learn at the end of October.  Now, she is studying Ballet at the school located in Central.

Hi,
My daughter is 6 years old. She has practiced ballet for 2 years in North Point. She loves ballet very much, but, I will not let her to attend the exam next year. Since she is P1, (if she join the exam, she needs to take 2 lessons per week) she need more effort on the homework. How about the students who is studying Grade 3 or above, 會腳痛嗎???

my baby girl is 2yrs old, she started her ballet class when she was 22months old. she loves ballet.. but i think ballet just is a interest for her, and i don't wanna my girl be a ballet dancer, i send her to ballet class just because she likes dance and ballet experenice maybe makes her body figure looks more beautiful.

My girl is 3yrs old and she start the dancing class 3 months ago.  She loves music, dancing and body movemnet very much.  I don't send her to a professional ballet school at this stage as she is far too young to start the formal ballet training.  I just want her to raise the interest on this and know what is dancing before she comitted to the ballet class.  The school we attend teach her not only the ballet but also tap dance (it is so cute with the tap shoe).  She really enjoys it very much.

My daughter never practise at home. She has 2 lessons every week. If she has show or competition , one or two more lessons will be added every week. Now she is Grade 3 student, she seldom complains she has foot/leg pain.
I remembered that she has complained leg pain because she has practised ballet 6 to 8 hours every day last summer holiday because she has joined a competition. This is the reason that I helped her to change a ballet school.
I knew that this is my authority to choose whether I let my daughter join the competition or not. However, I have one experience that I did't let my daughter join the competition last two year. The teacher immediately change her attitude to my daughter in the following year. She told to other parents that I did't support her.She told the students that she  never let my daughter be the 主角 in the following shows and  group competition. She always complains my daughter doesn't practise good in the class. At first, I doubt it is true or not. However, her ballet examination result in this year is over 90 marks.
The most angry thing was she taught her a wrong 動作 in the solo competition during this summer holiday. I thought that I should help my daughter to change a new ballet school.
Now, my daughter has changed a new environment. She is very happy. I also feel that I was a 井底之蛙 before. I didn't  help my daughter to change a new school as I think that her old teacher is very professional although she is very 勢利. Nevertheless, I feel that my decision is not wrong. I never want my daughter be a good dancer in the future. I just want ballet to let her figure be beautiful and improve her 儀態.

我女大約兩歲半就學(今年一月), 老師話11月出通告係考試既。而家未收到, 所以未知考唔考得。但我又唸...唔知考黎做乜? 我只知個女好鐘意上堂, 好鐘意個MISS (直頭好似當佢女神咁)....好鐘意玩, 咁為左考試而練習, 辛唔辛苦架?

我驚訓練得佢太辛苦, 他日唔鐘意呢....
而且為CERT? 為興趣? 為職業? 我都苦惱緊....因為我覺得芭蕾舞好似一個無底深潭

Is the JMW very commercial? Someone said that they will only choose those beautiful, tall and thin girls for the main character of the performance. Is it true?

真係無底深潭，越高班越要上得多堂，一雙跳舞鞋穿不了幾個月就要換，還有舞衣鞋襪考試前統統要換新。

表演舞衣穿一次就沒用，真的很浪費。

這些都是次要，時間安排才是最大問題，每星期兩堂，三堂，遇著考試測驗都不能停....

但是，只要孩子喜歡，認真去學，我覺得花的時間和金錢還是值得的。
