Third, after Stage One interview, parents and kids go to upstairs to another waiting area. Wait for kids' name to be called for Stage Two interview. It's individual interview. In the waiting area, a staff just kind remind parent to be relax and encourage your kids to talk as much as he/she can. I think kids can talk is really important. When get into the interview room. The interviewer first say "Good Morning" to your kids(kid and parent have name tag sticker on clothes). My boy didn't say "Morning" back. I know he must lost point in this part. Then sit down beside a table with all kids of toys and cards. Interviewer take a wooden puzzle (fruit and animal shape) to let my boy to find the right place. Also ask what fruit it is. My boy didn't answer. (I am crying in my heart). Then take 3 pieces of blocks in a bowl, ask what it is. Then ask my boy to take the block "one by one" from the bowl and put into another bowl. Then ask my boy to pick specific color of block. When my boy pick the wrong one, the interviwer tell him it's not right, ask him to pick again. After that, same test on color, this time is to match. Interviewer ask my boy to find same color of block to match what the interviewer put on the table. Finally take the cards to ask my boy to name what on the cards. My boy's cards have "bird", "boat", "car", "cup". Then it's done.
My boy didn't talk even when he knows what's in the cards.  |
