陳守仁小學 comments N advises 家長報到!

其實heidi媽你大女成績o.k. 真係不要浪費, 可以搏間好的.  問多d經驗家長如何做排位次序. 我曾聽一位認識家長說個仔是band 1尾, 但排前三都是top學校, 結果派去一間排得好後的學校. 最後唯有到處叩門, 入了一間band 2直資讀住先.  同校的另一小朋友成績唔好, 一開始就到處報band 2 英文直資, 反而有幾間收. 所以我地做家長的升學策略真係非常重要, 壓力頗大.

想澄清提及的兩位小朋友小學不在油尖區.


yiuyiu2000, 直資英小程度同能力不是間間一樣, 有些雖活動多, 程度亦不遜於津貼小學, 而且正如去觀校時某中學校長同我講, 我地英小畢業的學生, 沒有英文銜接上的問題, 在佢地的英中適應得好好. 我不會介意是傳統或直資中學, 最主要要睇自己小朋友的能力可以入什麼學校, 而會在這些範圍內細心做出選擇.

Our family will join the Open Day as well.  My son will have Madarian Show in the morning, so probably we will go there at the afternoon.

多謝你的回應.  其實我並不是擔心小朋友英文能力的適應, 而是擔心傳統英中多操練/摧谷等, 另他們讀得辛苦. 這方面你有何意見?
另外, 如不是教會學校的學生, 去報考教會學校(指津校), 是否機會較微?

我的小朋友只係四年班,所知的有限, 希望其他高年班家長可以上來回應.

很明日你的concern. 我想升中同升小一樣, 大多小朋友都需要適應期去調適, 如果本身個底唔差, 個小朋友又肯努力, 適應了新的教學模式, 問題就不大了. 我在tsl 認識一位家長, 她的大女5年班才回流返港, 在另一小學讀書, 個小朋友好上進, 中學考入了一傳統女校, 班中競爭大, 雖然都呻"中史好難, 但都算跟到. 我想小朋友性格好重要,如小朋友性格上是不能定承受壓力型, 而且會影響情緒的話,太摧谷的學校可能就不適合了.  小女的性格比較脆弱, 假如她成績有進步而可以考入傳統top學校的話, 我都會衡量功課量, 壓力與老師的包容度來決定. 始終我地不會將學校名氣作決定的把尺.還有兩年時間, 可能會有變化, 到時再review, 我會因應情況而做決定!

升中教會學校好似大多唔睇宗教分. 如你有心儀的中學, 不妨打電話去問問.

I am new to BK, my son is in K2 now.  Can I join your conversation?  
I have been reading your postings and it seems that this is a good school.  I am looking for english primary school with Putonghua teaching as my husband does not read chinese.
Are you coming for the open day on 21st?  I will bring my son, it would be good to meet up .

I'll take my daughter to school on Sat after finishing her activities.  But may be after 5pm as she has very tight schedule on Sat.  Welcome you & your family to our school and see you there.

I just called the school, there will be a talk at 2pm (in English) and 3.30pm (in Chinese) for P1 admission, will attend the 2pm one.
