學校的英文練習有以下例題:

Join the sentences together using "After" or "Before":

e.g. They bought the tickets.  They went into the cinema.

Before they went into the cinema, they bought the tickets.

After they had bought the tickets, they went into the cinema.

請問為什麼Before那句是"they bought the tickets"而不是"they had bought the tickets"?

意思是兩種寫法均可?
但是奇怪的是幾張工作紙的例題都是Before用past tense, After 用 past perfect tense, 所以我懷疑是否有特別的規定?
另外, 小女做這練習時Before的用了past perfect tense, 卻被老師說錯, 改成了past tense?!

剛剛問了老師, 老師說一般兩種寫法都可以, 但是如果是說一些每天發生的事實 (例如刷完牙便睡覺), 便只可以用past tense. 而如果是特別強調第一件事完成後, 才做第二件事, 那就要用past perfect tense.

唉, 真難搞, 考試時都唔知點判斷老師想要佢寫邊種!

仲有 樓主果條題目...........我係買俾仔仔本習作度見過....

真係天下題目差不多.

其實唔洗咁著重d tense, 因應不同情怳, 死記無乜用. @@" 最緊要教小朋友, 隨機應變. ^^ 同埋, 一d都唔難搞, 最緊要係多d 俾小朋友閱讀, 多點用心學習...咁拿高分就無難度.
