Coz there is only one elite class in KC. Many parents will hesitate to apply if their kids are not in top rank. Assuming that 60 students  in the Discretionary place allocation are the best, only 2/3 of them can be distributed into the elite class.

雖然小兒尚未咁快上中學, 但因為他也是中西區, 所以好有興趣看看你們的經驗.

本人也感中西區中學多是直資, 若不想入直資及不想入天主教學校, 真係無咩選擇. 若選沒有宗教的就只有Kings, 但kings也不易入.

張祝珊也是一個好選擇, 但中西區真的很少學生入/選入張祝珊. 其次是灣仔鄧xx及南區呂明才.

中西區男生係比以前無咩選擇,但女生還可以。

其實點解唔考慮st.joseph college呢(不過都好似幾大兢爭)? 我覺得佢好過鄧xx或者聖公會呂明才喎.

我都知(論成績而言,非常出色),但論學生彼此關愛精神和校舍,我問了阿仔好多次,佢冇好感.阿仔学校這兩年也派了6-8個入去.不過佢個老師為自己的兒子擇校時,也棄St Joseph (after interview),不選紅磚頭,另入WY.

我想身為老師的家長,照理會更審慎周詳吧.
現在一心一意鼓勵阿仔向前乘風破浪,爭取
拿校長出的recommendation letter.到
選校時每知怎样行.做好自己份內事為上策.

In my opinion, students picking CCSC and SKHTSK have slight difference in academic performance.  Students with high performance  would prefer CCSC than SKHTSK.  So if your son is within the middle to top tier of band 1, it's a great chance for SKHTSK while for CCSC, it's hard to evaluate.
However, you have 2 choices in the stage of discretionary place allocation. You may pick one aggresive attempt.

My son is studying there.
Don't bother, I have no hard feeling.  Different people with different view.

1)因為st. joseph 係天主教

2)本來我也與你同感, 但今年我識得一男生在南區呂明才讀會考取得29分之後, 我....改觀了.
