Hi Lingling,

A book list was distributed this morning. You can buy the books from Jing Kung in CWB (near Wong Yan College). They would cost a total of $149.  I bought 3 of them only. 2 of them are still out of stock. but no worry.

The school starts on 1st Sept but the first week's lessons would be about one and a half hour. During the first 3 days in the first "orientation" week, ONE caretaker would be allowed to accompany the child. In the last 2 days in the orientation week, the lessons for each day would also last for about one and a half hour but no caretakers would be allowed. Children would be on their own.

The photos were given to teachers to make alot of things like caretaker's pass (you need to show it when you take your kid after school), seat plan, etc etc.

When kids go to school and leave on time, they should go to the Kin Wah Street entrance. However, late comers would need to enter/ leave through the Ching Wah Street entrance.

We were asked to buy school bags at school this morning at the cost of 50.  it is very nice. i love it.

I bought a set of uniforms this morning but would need more for sure. the basic necessary uniforms include the normal white uniform (wear on mon, wed and fri), PE clothings (wear on tue and thur) and a white cardigan. They cost me 201 in total and would be collected in August.

A school tour was arranged for parents this morning. This school is really big no kidding.

The meeting was conducted bilingual because there were alot of non-Chinese speaking parents.

I have visited quite a lot of nurseries in Hong Kong including those renown ones. Compatively, KCS makes me feel very comfortable because the parents look less aggressive and teachers look caring.

Note: there would be no automatic promotion at any stage. i.e. no automatic promotion to K1 or to primary school.

頂級美人 has given a detailed report here.  that's really helpful of her. I would suggest that you get the folder from the school later when your son is fine.  The folder includes a detailed note of reminder for parents.  After you read it, you will get the detailed information and won't miss anything important.

我覺得昨日的安排幾亂, d老師好似唔知個流程, 2個英文老師,一個好似未瞓醒, 一個好似唔知自己有份講野態度好cool, 好似臨時拉俘.至於參觀校舍分3隊: 英語, 普通話, 廣東話. 我跟普通話老師,老師沒有及顧及較後的家長. 印象麻麻地.

媬姆車有位舒太一早就係學校前派紙,另外, 有一部媬姆車貼住姓吳先生的聯絡電話, 有無人知邊個好d?

I followed the cantonese speaking tour...hoho.....it was very nice.

I also think that the tour guide should have used a dai sing kung because there were too many parents.

they said English lessons will be taught by native speakers....so, i hope the lessons will not be taught by that 未瞓醒...i think she looks like an interpreter or admin staff.....

o果朝同舒太傾過, 見佢都好nice同老實, 講明因為香港仔好塞車所以唔入,只停海怡半島. 唔會拖住先, 到差唔多開學才話唔經.
不過我同老公都諗頭幾個月由菲傭接送,睇o下個女個情況,先安排坐媬姆車.
