介詞 In, At and On 在表示地方的用法
一般而言:
1. 談到某一點位置時用 At :
e.g. at the corner of street (在街道轉角), at the North Pole, at the crossroad
2. 如我們對某地方中的活動感到興趣，但對該地方的大小或形狀並不在意，我們在這地方前用 At :
e.g. at the folk club, at Central Station, at Kennedy Airport, at the XXX restaurant, at Mark and Spencer, at the theatre, at school etc.
3. 談到在某一線或平面上的位置時用 On
e.g. on the river, on the road, on the line, on the ceiling, on the farm, on a plane, on the surface, on earth, on the table, on the lake, on the wall, on a page, on the lawn, an apple on the tree etc
4. 談到在某三度空間 (立體，空洞，包括四面被圍繞起來的平面) 的地方中位置時用 In
e.g. in the long grass, in the wardrobe, in the car park, in that field, a bird in the tree, in the car, in the bus etc.
但實際情況可能相當複雜，並非經常可以確定那個字才是正確 :
e.g. There is a misprint in the sixth line on page 22.
e.g. I won't stay in bed, but just lie down on the bed for half an hour.
e.g. In the Himalayas
e.g. On Everest
e.g. In the picture
e.g. In the sky
e.g. In the corner of room (在房間一角)
都是要多聴，多講，多讀，多寫。
