Dear all mums,

Anyone of you heard about music Therapy ??

I read the march copy of Parkn'shop magazine introduce a Music Therapy Ctr.
I just visited today.  The teacher is grad. in Melboure Australia, a degree holder in Music Therapy.

My girl case : she is global development delay, she can walk well, 2.7years old, no language except little bb sound.

The techer in the Music Therapy ctr say can help to  stimilulate my girl to speak by taking individual lessons.....

Anyone can share some experience with me??

I have a privat music therapist for my boy once a week for about 1 hour.  But I find the way she does is very similar to the speech therapist, although she will sing songs to my boy to attract his attention.  Therefore I am considering to shift to the speech therapist later.
If you really want to try the music therapist, I may let you know the one I use.  She is indeed very kind heart and patient.

I have tried a course of music therapy in Heep Hong Association. But I don't think it is very effective.

May I know the cost of each lesson?  And what's the name of the therapist?  Do you think your boy has improvement after this?  She goes to your home or you go to her centre?  What kind of songs does she sing?

I have completed a course of music therapy in CUHK.  Is the music therapist a fat girl?  If yes, she is my teacher.  Hehe.
