我猜你所指的是近期在某教育講座中介紹過的National Geograhic Windows On Literacy。 這是分五階段的閱讀計劃, 以社會/科學的過百個主題融入語文學習中(語法, 文章結構等), 內容探用大量美國國家地理學會的珍貴圖片。這教材的英文原版共320本書, 目前普遍應用於美加及澳洲的學校, 在外國不作零售。

國家地理學會已授權香港某教育機構獨家出版及經銷此系列, 並把教材設計成: (1).家庭使用的閱讀計劃(另附英語/國語CD, 練習本, 家長手冊, 字卡等) (2). 學校輔助讀物 (3). 國家地理小博士英語學習課程(也含自然科學, 社會生活, 人際關係的學習)

The series with 5 levels (Step-up level to Fluent Plus level) is originally designed for kids from K3 in U.S.A.

With the guidance of teachers (used as curriculum or reading scheme) or parents (used as home learning programme) aided by tailored additional learning and assessment tools, kids even from K1 will also benefit from such series.

A very special credit of this reading scheme is that - thanks to the incredible NG photos and curriculum designs -  it benefits not only the normal kids who just begins to learn English language, but also stimulates kids who are talented and even help/train the kids who have difficulties in learning (e.g.有閱讀文字的障礙, 天生傾向以圖像記憶).

Specialty classes using National Geographic readers as core teaching materials (with tailored lesson plans)for K1-3 kids will debut this summer vacation. Details to be announced soon.

I am glad (althought not really surprised) that so many moms loved NG books as myself. Finally I have replied the tonnes of PM/mails. I hope that I have not missed any query.

If many of you are interested in the upcoming information about books or specialty classes, you can forward your email address to: [email protected]. Sometimes, information is in the form of .pdf files - so, it is impossible to PM. This can help me avoid typing the same information many times (I know I am lazy.    ). Please note that I know very well the content development of NG WOL series, but I am NOT a sales person. So for queries about prices, you should email the local publisher.

I will be out of town soon for international children book fairs. So excuse me if I reply late in the next 2 weeks.

今年頭我都買左一set，呢套野好似係新推出。啲相片係國家地理soc.拍o既，啲內容好有趣。bearbear囡囡會自己拿黎睇. 有時仲會叫我一 齊睇咁囉。當初買的時候，覺得呢套野好少何有咁豐富的topic 同埋講科學又有real photo. 想買一套俾小朋友睇的小小國家地理雜誌，其實國家地理雜誌大人版都幾深下家嘛.
