我覺得能力唔一定要好好,面試個陣~我女都唔係識哂,但佢肯講~~first in 搶答環節佢話答得一題,問題是:聖誕節係幾時?用英文問的~~結果佢唔識12月的英文就用了中文答~~hah!!!笑死我~~但這是她勇敢的表現~~proud of her!!!
我女讀的不是英文kinder,亦不是名校,亦不是保良局的~~只是一間聖公會屬下的kinder~~是活動教學的~~
額外培育?我冇同佢參加d咩呀,平時都係我自己教佢既~~佢like睇書,我咪俾多d佢睇囉~~
in fact~~lee d唔係咩心得~~我都係順其自然~~等佢自由發揮~~同埋100%支持佢~~好緊要ga lee樣~~

多謝你既讚賞~~好媽媽就真的不敢當~~只是為自己的小孩盡些少力~~相信bk教育網每一位爸爸和媽媽都係好緊張佢地既小孩才會花時間上來了解和探討~~所以lee度每一位都係好媽媽和爸爸~~

Some more tips on top of 婥蔚媽咪 suggestions (practice with kids on 搶答 and treat it as game is useful for learning and also useful for interview):
- playing puzzle (according this year and past years, there is always puzzle game for TSL)
- creative drawing
- describing a picture

What you don't need (for this year):
- no need for profolio as this year, TSL doesn't accept it at all.

Lastly, the most important is "LUCK".

Let me introduce my son. My son's name is called Ian. He studies in York and we just live in Park Avenue, (i.e. Olympic City). How about you?
For your information, there is a community district office, nearby TSL, organized a French class for the kid, $400 for 10 lessons, every Thurs. 4:45-5:45p.m.. My son is joining now and seems pretty interesting. It may be worth for TSL current and future parents to apply for his/her kids.

My girl's name is Zoie~~She studied in a locan kinde which is belongs to SKH and we live in Tsuen Wan~~You are so close to school wor~~just walk to school~~that's good!
My girl said she like Japanese more, so I will choose Japanese for her~~anyway,thx for your info~

我去"陳炳記"買, 係旺角. 不過己冇晒細碼.   

聽聞開學時要考小朋友的中文能力, 如果中文太弱, 可能小朋友要主修法文. 我而家己安排中文補習班比仔仔惡補, 希望佢可以去主修中文班.  

而third language, 佢想讀法文.  佢有時都上網學法文, 幾好玩.

I am thinking to move to Mong Kok (nearby TSL) in the coming year.  Do you have any suggestion?  The price should be around $3 - 3.5 Mwith 3 bed rooms.  Do you think if it is possible to find an apartment in such price in Mong kok?

開學要考中文??really??主修法文不是給non-chinese讀的嗎??

有時好難間定小朋友的語言/書寫能力,
我意思係有d小朋友是本地出世的chinese,
但自細以英文為主, 中文比較差,
有d小朋友係non-chinese,
但自細在本地幼稚園就讀, 中文能力o.k.,
如果學校真係開學評估入讀的小朋友的中文能力,
以便分小朋友主修中文/法文,
是好合理的.
因為眼見真係有小朋友追中文好辛苦,
學校都係為小朋友好.
而以往學校都係尊重家長的個人意願.

其實我唔知上年有冇此安排.
假如來緊的小一真係有咁既安排,
對於某些中文弱的小朋友家長,
就有一定的壓力.
因為放棄一條龍的國際學校轉來tsl
是傾慕tsl優質的中英雙語教育,
而不是想主修法文.

點都好,自私d 講,
最希望當然是學校來緊的小一亦係比我地家長自選,
咁就一天都光晒啦!

Tingmum,
Yes, I have my son joing this French Course. But pls note that this course is organized by Hoi Wang Community Service Association and the teacher is a volunteer (but seems to me he has a very good heart), so don't expect too much. I heard from a parent attended it and found that a lot of Cantonese chatting time. Again, for $40/hr, don't expect too much.
For the property, I'm not expert, but I think this is reasonable price range and I hope you can find a suitable one.
Hope to be a neighbour and my son's schoolmate.

咁學校咁做的確係想小朋友冇咁辛苦jei~~我女認字能力都幾ok既~~有時佢會話lee個字同個個字好似咁~~又或者部首相同~~
