各位家長有冇發覺ST.JOE用的數學錯漏百出?

我兒子是讀K3, 但當我看他們小一的數學教科書時,把錯圈出來,
真的另我有點驚訝,書內的英文錯得很離譜, 為何身為一間有名的英文小學都仍然用這本書, 若我兒入了這學校的話,不知如何是好,
希望他們可檢討一下.
該書的錯處如:
Three birds by the river.
Zero birds are flying
Three birds fly(it should be flew) away,(p.s. no birds in the picture)
Fish 的plural在該書上是Fishs,(FISHES)
這本書完全不注意SINGLE/PLURAL及PAST/PRESENT TENSE.
若香港沒有好的教科書的話, 我提意可去星加玻取經.

The publisher  is Longman.

May I ask which school could find error-free text books for their pupils? Or, may I ask which publisher's text book can assure you the contents are error-free?

I'm afraid you cannot find any school and textbook for your son in HK wor...

As far as I know, quite a number of "有名的英文小學" which teach Maths in English are using the same textbook. If this book bother you so much, I believe you may need to choose "有名的中文小學" in order to avoid this problem. In fact, the school has noticed those errors as I saw my son was making corrections on his textbook from time to time.

如果我冇記錯, 全港係得一間 publisher 跟 local 小學數學課程出版英文教科書, 就正是Longman. 即係話你讀那一小學, 如果是教英文數, 就係用呢套書. International schools 除外!

It is so disppointed after read your message. So that's why the people said the English level of HK student is falling now. But I still want to choice English school for my kid next year, God bless all of us.

我不知道有幾多英文數學教科書, 但只是希望教處對書商出版教科書的要求可提高一些.若沒有其他選擇的話我們只好無奈地接受.

邊度有教"處"呀?
"教署"冇咗啦 !
依家叫教育局喎 !


書商有錯有藉口改版嘛 !
教科書有錯老師咪唔懶得, 要成日核對後告訴學生,
學生又養成批判的習慣, 唔盡信[size=+0]教科書,
咁係咪好事呢?

我都係屬於英文水平低落的一羣，不過硬係覺得呢兩個字有問題！

我打錯有什麼出奇, 我又唔係老師,但教人的書錯了就肉酸啦, 比其他國家的人看到,被人笑就唔好啦, 算啦!你們不欲向正確方面改進, 係咁話啦, 請呀.

I think it is your son's problem!
You need to ask your son, did he attention on the lesson?
The teacher will call the students to correct the wrong
words on the books! (Including chinese book and other
sujects)

I think it is v. important that  the publisher should proofread before it distributes to public.  Mistakes in 教科書 are v. serious problem and cannot be tolerated.  
Btw, "fishes" is not the pl. form of fish; it is a pl. form of different kinds of fish.
