Dear all Mummy,

Please don't buy "your baby can read" set from the HongKong agent MIDKXX.
I bought the whole set when my baby was 6 months old at about HK$2500.  If included the 4 sets of DVD, books and flash cards.  I don't recomeneded because:
1. The follow up work cannot help you.  They said will have good follow up but actually they call you to sell the other materials very time.  Also, they are not professional and cannot give any suggestion when it doesn't work.


2. The flash card's red words are too small for babies.  It doesn't match glenn Domin's idea.  Baby doesn't want to watch.
3. The book design is bad.  When I read the books for my baby, he likes to turn the pages very much. But for their book, it is too complicated for the baby to turn righ and left, then lift up and down for the whole page ( not a small flap).  So it will make him losing interest.  Normally I turn by myself.
4. The program is boring when repeated everyday.
5. My baby inborn likes reading very much but not workable to him.

I think you are better to buy the VCD from the web ( it cost about HK$ 500) as a supplementary to your baby but it is worthwhile to buy the full set from the Hong Kong agent.

我諗每個bb唔同, 我個仔就好鍾意睇, 但實在無辦法跟到佢的schedule, 無可能同一隻dvd播足一個月, 因為日日睇住同一隻實悶, 佢一悶我就轉第二隻, 第二隻睇完轉第三隻, 現在2歲已睇晒全套.

我發現佢好鍾意睇字, 唱歌時的歌詞都鍾意睇, 我係配合迪士尼美語世界的talk along playmate 讀卡機一齊用, 效果好好, 佢現在已經identify到八成baby can read裡面的生字, 看word cards或我用白板寫字比佢睇, 佢都講到, 有時會做埋動作, 即明白字的意思. 至於部份dvd內無的字, 我懷疑係佢玩讀卡機時學識的, 所以我覺得dvd+卡機配一齊用, 非常唔錯.

但唔係個個bb都鍾意睇, 同我一齊開始呢套dvd的其他4個朋友的bb (年齡相近), 全部都唔肯睇, 一開機就擰頭say nonono!

我囡囡五個月多D,比過幾次starter佢睇,好似唔太like!
但今日發現佢原來幾鍾意玩slide card!

我唔係透過香港代理買的,係在bk 同其他媽咪一齊從美國網上集體訂購, 全套只係七百幾蚊.

我bb係1月8個月時開始用, 1歲10個月時開始測試佢, 發現已讀得出簡單詞語如book, dog, pig, 之後詞語越來越多, 2歲2個月時己辦認到50個以上個詞語, 但我是每天陪佢一齊睇, 同時用flash cards和DWE的讀卡機的.

我都買baby can read, 用接近一個月, 工人姐姐話BB好唔鍾意睇 , 但係就好鍾意play along, 我希望BB睇耐D會好D喇! 不過應該幾時比slide card BB 睇呢? 因工人姐姐每一日都只會比BB睇DVD而無比slide card BB 玩 ...

請問play along 係咩黎呀? 可以係邊度買呀?
