haven't been here for quite a while and when i look at this question again, what came to my mind is that the more your read, the better your reading comprehension, there is no short cut -- just read -- let our kids choose what interests them to read. well, going to public libraries is a great idea. The Central Lib is just great. Also, a lot of online reading programmes might serve good and cheap reading materials -- like smart abc, i-learner, etc, etc -- i got so many these kinds of things from natalie's school well, the most important thing is to spend more time talking about books, etc.
