As a Canadian piano teacher of over 17 years, this is my opinion on "renting" pianos in HK. (Sorry ,I can only read chinese, cannot type or write)
1) Renting pianos in HK- typically, the good condition pianos will NOT be rented to private homes. Most of them are pretty bad shape. It's really quite bad to have a beginner student to have to learn from these type of pianos. Unless you are renting for play for leisure as an experienced adult pianist.
2) Ottostein, Samick, and Pearl River- STAY away from these pianos. The acoustics, and action and response of the piano keys and sounds are really quite terrible from my professional opinion. In some ways, I had a bias against Parson's Toyama, however, recently, I tried one out for fun, I think Toyama is even better than the three previously mentioned.
3) I recommend my students and parents who don't want to invest in an expensive piano because they are not sure whether their child is really going to learn the piano seriously, or just simply do not have the budget. Either way, getting a REALLY nice Used piano is good idea. I had a student who bought a really nice Kawai for $ 12 000.00 HKD. It's 20 years old, but you cannot tell it's that old. Everything is good about the piano. It's within her budget, and in 3-4 years, when she wants to upgrade to a new piano or a better one, the used one here will NOT be worthless. It will be at least $ 7000.00-$ 8000.00HKD because it is nevertheless kawai (or Yamaha).....
Just my opinion.

請問有無人試過係通利租琴?可否分經驗?
另外若果只係租幾年,大陸(Richmann/Pearl River)定韓國(Ottostein/Samick)琴適合啲? |
