How to develop a reading habit for baby?

Dear mums and dads,

My baby will soon be 7 months. We have started reading story books to him since his first month. Our problem is whenever we read the books, he wants to put the books into his mouth.

Would you mind giving me some advice how to solve this problem?

Would you please also share how do you develop a reading habit for your baby?

其實小朋友將物件放入口裡, 是很正常的, 你無需太過在意, 反而你要觀察一下小朋友有否意慾去"揭"書或留意書中不同的圖畫, 即係小b是否明白或意識到那本是書, 而不是牙膠等玩具, 若他有意識, 你就可以進入慢慢培養閱讀習慣這些相對較深層次的階段

我在我小b四個月左右開始俾書佢睇, 初期係俾一些顏色對比強烈(黑白或紅白, 綠白)等顏色書佢睇, 特別是黑白小b的反應最好(最眼定定), 後來又俾一些細d的膠書佢自己拿著玩, 讓佢自己發現有不同頁, 之後, 再大一點就俾沖涼書佢在洗白白時玩, 到而家15個月, 佢仍很喜歡書, 經常揭開書, 指下指下圖畫, 要人讀圖畫俾佢聽, 假若你讀錯, 佢就"呀", 表示讀錯
