我的囡囡讀宣小三年級。她當然喜歡返學，連暑期班佢都要每年參加。

學校和老師是否能提供足夠的支援？這視乎你期望怎樣的支援，因為我覺得老師很友善，但都幾忙。

How about the parents？家長當然很友善，而且我們都會互相交流和幫忙。但現在即將大考，所以大家都未必有時間上BK答問題。

Workload?小一、小二只有半小時的功課。宣小係冇假期功課。小三的功課增加至一小時，而且近學期尾，有TSA的數學補充要做。小朋友幾忙下，原因當然不是功課，因為功課量是比其他學校少的。忙是因為課外活動和音樂。在音樂方面，宣小是在校際音樂節獲獎最多的學校，很多宣小家長都期望子女可以在小五、六時已考到八級。

Is it true that kids need to take one active + one music instrument? 宣小只要求一人一樂器。運動方面，沒有同樣的要求。

Thank you very very much for your insight.  I find kids learn better if he/she is in a positive environment.  What about the approx. cost per month? That includes school fee, lunch, after school activities (if there are any), music tutorial.  All I need is a ballpark figure so that I can budget myself.

School fee 新生家長應該很清楚。
Lunch 最近一次(六月份)HK$160。
After school activities 自由參加的，所以很難計。
Music tutorial HK$6500(全年費用，分兩次交)

不過學音樂的費用是幾貴的：(1)有些樂器，要過萬元，(2)到高年級，學音樂，會直接找導師一對一學，不會再參加學校的小組班。費用是和導師議定的。出名的導師收費會幾貴。

Thank you very much ChiChiPapa.  I do heard that one on one tutorial fee is quite expensive.  Well, as long as the kid can improve the knowledge, it is well worth the money.

Hello ChiChiPaPa,

You can always give us valuable advice and opinion. My daughter was allocatd to St.. Stephen's Girls' Primary School which has affiliated secondary school. But, I really like APS as it is a good school too.

Can you give me some advice how to choose between two? Do you know the possibility of getting in HY Secondary school after APS graduation? Just around 20 girls out of ? It seems not very easy, right?

各位家長，
聽說宣小週六沒有校巴服務，是否如此？
如果參加的興趣班是在週一至週五下午課後，是否便無法搭乘校巴而需自行解決？多謝！

這兩間學校是不同地點。很少人會把它們比較。如果地點不是問題，而你又自問不會因有直屬中學，而鬆懈下來，我相信你應會選擇St. Stephen's Girls Primary School。你應已知它有8成學生可升上它的中學。

很多私小都給人感覺男生的出路好過女生。這只是錯覺，因為大家沒有考慮男女生人數比例的問題。除了我囡囡小三這一屆外，宣小的男女生收生比例都是6比4，而由於初小時女生成績較好，初小時，女生轉去其它名校的亦遠較男生多，到畢業時，女生人數通常還要略低於這個比例。以女畢業生只有50位左右，入協恩的比例事實上相當高，因為還未計進入其它名校。

事實上，只有我囡囡的一屆的男女生收生比例是1:1，所以她才需要為競爭而擔心。

星期六要視乎路線。部份校車星期六是有服務的。

放學有兩轉校車，其中一次在興趣班之後。搭這一轉校車是要加錢的，今年的收費是每次加25元。

Thanks you very much for your advice and analysis.

Another concern is my daughter seems not very interested in music learning. I am confident with her academic performance but if music is one of the major subjects to be counted in overall result, I am afraid her result in music will make the overall marks / rank worser. Am I correct?

音樂是閒科。除非你的孩子是爭頭幾名，那零點幾分就已很重要，否則閒科應該不會影嚮成績。

當升中時，大家的英語能力相若，那課外活動的表現就成為決定性因素。宣小的價值是使你的孩子可以有出名的音樂導師受訓，但並不是說音樂成了主科。

Hi all,
my daughter will be studying P1 in APS this year too ! Glad to meet you all here !  

My daughter loves music very much and that's why we give up SFA and choose APS. But my husband concerns about APS doen't have a playground for students to have PE lessons. May I ask the APS parents whether APS has PE lesson every week? Where will the kids have their PE lessons?

Oh, my daughter may be the oppose one. She doesn't very love music, at least now.
She has learnt the paino but stopped.

Can anyone tell me that , does APS suitable for her ?

Does anyone able to  compare the school life  between some who like music so much and the other not so much ?

( For example, if my daughter like swimming so much, then what is the minimum time spent on music ?)
