I think it's around 1:7, last year my son in PM pre K had only 11 kids with one lead teacher and one assistant, K1 this year our class has 22 kids with one lead teacher and 2 teaching assistants

We thoroughly enjoy going to school! The teachers are very caring and they can remember the kids name even if the kids are not in their class! E.g. The lead teacher in K1 now was already saying hello to my son and giving him hugs when he was in pre K!
The principal now is very passionate about early childhood education although she is retiring later this year

Oops I think my answer  was more about the school overall. In pre K pretty similar to K1 now, the kids had field trips every now and then, did lots of craft work, did cooking weekly (and they were very yummy!), mandarin half hour everyday etc they start to do early phases of phonics in pre K too.

I'm not sure what qualifications they have, for Pre K pretty sure there's only one class with same teachers for both AM & PM. The lead teacher is Asian and the teaching assistant is Irish. For K1 I think there are 3 classes, mostly Asian teachers, K2 mostly westerners. PE teacher is Irish too I think?

Denise is retiring in August I think and the current vice principal will replace her. My son doesn't really want to speak mandarin at home, but when he does sing the mandarin songs he's learnt at school I can tell his pronunciation is very proper, and I can hear the same from his friend too. They don't have to learn any Chinese characters yet at this stage they are still learning vocabulary via singing and playing games. I was told they will learn simple characters and writing in K2.
