我仔係10月尾已在助展會做了評估, 但我之前同佢係健康院都排了期

私人機構同健康院做的評估會有分別嗎?

The clinic won't do any assessment as it is lack of any pediatrics or CP. It will only refer to CAC for further assessment. However, the queue to CAC is around 1/2 - 1 year.

You should treat 健康院 only gives injection to kids, and don't hope for other complicated stuffs. I expect you will need to make an appointment to see a nurse, and then another appointment to see a GP, then the GP will write you a referral letter to CAC. Sometimes in the 1st appointment with the nurse, she will say your kid is OK and normal then you will walk away and that will delay further assessment. So stay firm for your referral purpose.

The report from a private CP assessment is not much use but only your own reference or for you to get private training.

If you want to receive support or free training from the Social Welfare Department, I think the report should be from CAC or similar gov't departments.
