I can definitely share with you my experience. My son and daughter are both born in end of the year. I try to let my son repeat one more year K1, so he studied for a total of 4 years kindergarten.
I think bigger boy is really smarter and easier to teach when I try to help him with the homework during primary now. However, he sometimes do says to me that he thinks that he is bigger than his classmates, which makes me feel?? if my choice is right or now.
Now, is my daughter's turn, I do not let her to repeat K1, so same as you, is 細女. I think her academic achievement is OK, however, I have to put more time on her daily work and she seems to forget things I teach her more easily.
This really makes another problem when I try to help her to interview for P.1 when she gets to K.3.
So there are good and bad points for repeating K.1.
However, one thing is important - if you really want to repeat K1: do choose another school, do not let her to see all her classmates promoted but she still studies in the same form.
