Of course, you need to submit both 1st and 2nd terms academic reports to DSS and private schools in your P1 application.

In some cases, for example, the DGJS, the principal even only reviews the 2nd term academic report only in the 2nd round interview.  So, even you got excellent results in the 1st term but only got average results in the 2nd term due to whatever reasons, then, you propably would not be admitted by DGJS.

成績表只系其中一項,我阿女張成績表非常好,最終DGJS咪又系唔得. 我覺得都系面試表現最重要,要合唔合校長既眼緣.

Agreed.  But I think good academic results is a must.

但是我的小朋友讀普通幼稚園
那是   '成績表 ' 無分數和名次的
只顯示  '做到 ' '有時做到 '  '這類話
咁點好
是否無機 ？

以下幾間小學，肯定參巧K2成績表及學校letter of recommendation：

[1] SPCC - 在1st in時門口有個職員已經要求examine這兩份文件真本。到2nd in時，校長更會問letter of recommendation內容。我親眼看見她們在2nd in前已在letter of recommendation 及portfolio上用highlight pen及紅筆假好remarks.

[2] DGJS / DBS - 在2nd in時又有一個職員要求這兩份文件真本，還好小心比較photocopy version

我的感覺，這些文件好似只是basic of the basics，一定不不以有adverse comments，文件看OK之後就看小朋友+家長面試表現。
