由於疫情關係幾乎全球學校停校又停課，見阿女自1月以來至今停課係屋企 Online上半朝堂，下午至夜晚太多時間了。另外，聽阿女講，佢呢兩個幾月學校 online 上堂，無係學校實體上堂學得多。

阿女S3上半年因為社會運動斷斷續續停課，而S3下半年因疫情關係1月下旬至今停課無了期，我自己擔心無了期停課，S3好似無咩學過就升高中了。上星期決定，阿女明年1月最遲5月自修考 IGCSE（同步有報名Online 上堂補習，明天第一堂 Online Econ），好讓佢S3呢一年停課多過上堂嘅日子，唔好荒廢學習反而用停學期間多餘時間預備國際認可嘅公開試

其實我一直都有考慮，原因係阿仔啲中文唔得。

仔學校有IGCSE同 DSE讀，但係要睇成績。

仔唔會出國讀書，我擔心仔無能力跟其他考IGCSE嘅考生競爭。

[size=3]其實，以前從無想過及計劃過阿女 S4 自修考IGCSE，只係身處大時代，19-20學年嘅上半年社會運動斷斷續續停課，下半年疫情下又無了期停學，我先至突發奇想迫阿女唔好浪費時間，我自己個人想法讓阿女去考公開試迫佢去讀書及好好學習咋。

我都係今日鑽研 ITS 考試中心 IAL 嘅考試日期及科目，我先至知係香港考 [color=red][b]IAL 1年可以有 3 次機會考[/b][/color] (因為阿女學校幫學生報名只報考 5、6月嗰次，所以以前我一直以為IAL 1年只可考1次），如果 S5開始考IAL，S5 - S6可以有機會考 4次呢！（DSE 1年只有1次機會。）

另外，有網友[/size][size=3]今年寶貴成功經驗分享，佢孩子自修 IAL 考今年1月嗰次，3月4日出成績，上兩星期 3月18 日同3月27日分別收到 UST 同 HKU既 Firm Offers （唔係 conditional offer CO 條件性取錄）

照推論，如果想 3月考DSE前提前有香港嘅大學 Firm Offer，IAL S5 時考 5、6月嗰次 rehearsal 當 Mock Exam 實戰實習，S6 時考 10、11月嗰次，又或者補考下一年1月嗰次，10、11月或者下一年1月呢2次 IAL 成績如果考得好的話就會有香港嘅大學 Firm Offer，連3月嘅 DSE 都唔洗考了。[/size]

[size=3]以我自己個人做事作風：阿女升中考直資，自己及阿女都會報多幾間直資用作實戰實習，作為多方後備方案，劍指某一、兩間直資，最終如我所願考入最心儀嗰間。[/size]

[size=3]依家，當阿女升高中準備考大學了，以我性格及處事方式，以實戰經驗落場考多幾次我個人認為不失為一個好好嘅實習機會，最後攞成績最好嗰次 IAL成績單交俾大學，而阿女有幾次機會考，我估佢心理壓力無咁大掛 (DSE 只有1次定生死，考得唔好要明年再考過，個人感覺都幾大壓力) ！希望幾年後，阿女亦可以升中學咁考到最心儀嘅大學。[/size][size=3]

你有冇研究過考嘅範圍係一樣？
如果唔係，夠時間讀嗎？

如果以數學為例，我仔學校一直有比啲IGCSE 嘅練習當功課做，但有啲會唔係仔現時嘅讀嘅範圍之內，不過考試範圍我未研究過。

我相信你女可以亦願意同時兼顧2種不同嘅考試，但我仔一定唔可以，佢好目標為本，亦唔願意做多。 :thinking:

我有IAL vs DSE 課程範圍比較 % 嘅 Maths丶Econ丶Business 呢3科資料(呢3科我暫時計劃俾阿女自修考)(DSE Maths如無修讀M1或M2 lAL 只重叠~50%; Econ ~有啲unit80%，70%，30%)
我諗住用~2年要自修出外補習，我估阿女勉强應付掛。

所以，我打算出年阿女自修考IGCSE，其中一個原因俾阿女親自體驗又 rehearsal 同一時間佢要讀DSE 及IGCSE 課程佢應唔應付到? 如果佢同步自修IGCSE 都應付唔到，咁可能到時要非常認真考慮(實情係要非常落力游説阿女)轉校考IAL 有呢商科提供嘅學校了

如果佢留係香港讀中四至中六，每年一次，考3次。
如果佢去英國讀嘅話 IGCSE 及GCEAL 其實最少都要考2次的; 如果英國某啲地區考IGCSE丶AS 及 A2 課程又係3年考3次的;紐西蘭讀高中都係3年考3次國家試的。(因為，英國或纽西蘭高中原本打算明年俾阿女過去讀的，依家疫情咁嚴重，唔知出年仲會唔會走嘛!)

昨晚我亦同佢講，依家好似小學高小應付呈分試咁，一上到高中S4(高小四年班)開始，要努力用力讀書備戰應付终極公開試。我及阿女都係呢個星期開始嘗試實踐，是否成功要實踐要往後幾年先至知了(如果最後留係香港讀高中)

我感覺你好多計畫，點解唔諗清楚一個，努力考好嗰個呢？

如果只係因為今年停課，與其準備另外一個考試範圍（唔係剩係考多幾次試，係唔同範圍要讀），點解咁好好讀自己想讀既科呢？一個高分既考試成績，唔會好過幾個普通既考試成績嗎？

或者我唔識野啦！不過我覺得除非一個考試已好有把握，否則何必再讀多啲？

考IAL 係主(希望唔洗考DSE, 亦唔想考DSE)，我唔想阿女花太多時間預備DSE (尤其係中文及通識呢两科)

如果留港讀大學，學校只考慮公開試成績，齋考試似乎可行。不過，如果有大學去海外升學的計劃的話（特別係你所講香港所面對問題）只靠一個考試成績是不夠的。
準備兩種公開試，所需時間精力都唔可以小睇。全人發展方面可能會做唔到。

阿女學校有 IAL 讀但只係提供 Phy, Chem, Bio, Math 呢幾科, 無商科. 之前我亦打算高中選學校嘅 IAL 課程但自修商科然後經學校報 IGCSE 及 IAL 考試. 而佢學校 IAL 課程學位前兩年都未滿, 相信今年高中選科時選呢個課程一定入到 (第一屆只提供30名額但只有1X個讀, 去年見學校曾提供資料 IAL 課程第二屆開始名額係 50個).

但係較早前學校高中選科家長晚會, 講座中老師千叮萬囑我哋家長唔好只係考慮課程但係課程內嘅科目仔女無興趣及唔鍾意, 咁仔女會讀得好辛苦及成績唔會好的, 佢話教咁多年見唔少高中學生選錯科而讀得辛苦又成績唔好.

阿女理科真係唔掂, 如果我梗硬選學校嘅 IAL 理科課程, 阿女高中嗰3年會讀得好痛苦. 我亦曾認真同阿女傾, 佢真係好唔想讀理科. 4月底前佢要覆學校高中選科了, 佢會選DSE 嘅 Econ, Business, Geog/旅遊與款待. 日文佢堅決唔肯讀

我亦曾同佢提過今年考王錦輝插班 S4 (因為呢間 IAL 有 Econ 及 Business 讀), 如果成功轉校咁佢就會留係香港完成高中畢業唔去海外讀高中, 但佢又極之抗拒唔肯轉校, 要留返係依家學校讀嘛.

既要顧及阿女學習興趣及能力, 又要尊重佢好想留原校非常抗拒轉校, 係咁情況下我同佢共識留原校讀DSE 佢就要承受同時要讀 IAL 課程, 暫時佢寧願決定係咁

P.S 1. 我同阿女講, 如果學校 S4 選修科7月時公佈佢讀唔到 Econ, Business, 咁佢就真係要轉校喇.

P.S. 2 我又同佢講, 明年佢自修考 IGCSE, 佢自己感受自己處唔處理到同時讀 2個課程, 如果佢明年考完 IGCSE 後最終覺得應付唔到 2 個課程, S5 時就會轉校去只有 IAL 課程學校(直資/私校/國際學校)讀喇

同時兼顧兩類考試唔易，家長參與太多是否係有好處？除非，意願係來自學生本身～～～
