如果大學計分是best5學科,而我有選4科elective(計埋M1), 請問計分時,是否可以不用計中文科?中文科只是有3就可以?

Yes, can exclude Chinese if other subjects have higher scores.
However, some subjects may have specific requirement for Chinese. Like LLB (HKU and CU) requires a minimum grade of 4 for Chinese.

港大E科會否收中文3呢?當其餘6科有一至兩粒星
中大要計中文就肯定唔得

My son's classmate got a 3 in Chinese but he took 3 electives + M1. His Best 6 scores didn't need to count Chinese and he eventually got the offer from HKU medical school.
If you do not take M1/2, you need to get 2 x 5** + 3 x 5* + Chinese=3 to meet the expected score of HKU MBBS.

Do you know what is the difference between expected score and admission score ?

Admission score is the specific requirements and subject weighing for a specific programme. E.g. MBBS requires Best 6 including Chemistry and LLB requires Best 6 + Eng = 5 and Chi = 4

Expected Score is the score required to be admitted to a specific programme based on the Admission Score calculation formula, which is estimated by the LQ score admitted to the programme in the previous year.

But the problem is that many HK Universities' Expected Scores are usually lower than last year's Lower Quartile score. To guarantee admission, we should look at the Lowe Quartile score, right ?

Unless the programme is very popular with limited places (like AI related programme), the offer is quite certain if you can achieve the Expected Score.

LQ Score is the lowest 25% of the students admitted to the programme. Some borderline cases would be one or two points lower than the LQ Score.
