Just got an offer from FIS (JL/CW) for Y1. Below are some of my considerations:
ESF -
1. has been in ESF since K1 and my child is happy at school
2. we live in KLN side
3. paid the deposit and advance school fee which cannot be refunded

FIS -
1. learn French as a second language
2. smaller class size
3. heard that it is more academic for primary school
4. diverse cultural mix

Anyone can tell me more about the facilities and teachers in BHS and FIS? Appreciate if you can share your thoughts. Thank you very much

Friend whose kid is studying in FIS Y1 is now facing some issues:
1. Language - Good learning for French but insufficient English (and Chinese). The kid's English proficiency lower than his ESF friends.
2. Behaviour - Quite "wild" and less disciplined compared to SOME ESF schools - depending on the mix.

BHS should be quite disciplined and academic comapred to other ESF schools due to the mix and some friends' kids are studying there and found no issue so far. Guess it really depends on how much you value French in future study and career.

Of course these are only individual cases and others may find different experience.

Thanks for sharing. Yes I agree that foreign culture may sometimes translate to misbehaviour in the view of Chinese family. I guess there are more local students with foreign passport in ESF school so somehow they are more disciplined.

For language issue, as my friend's kid is in French stream, English learning could be an issue. Guess international stream has no such problem.
