In the past, some applicants don't get assessed right away in Nov/Dec. Things might have changed these few years with less students studying in HK.

No, depends on your priority (if any) and the assigned random number.

Some schools may only invite applicants with priority / foreign passport to attend the written test.

If I have previously submitted General application for ESF Primary school, do I have to apply and pay again for Year 7 Central application? Thanks.

I asked Admission a similar question few days ago. They said if the school is through-train (e.g. RCHK), the application will be rolled-over even to secondary school. But if the school isn’t one, I’ll need to submit a fresh application for Y7.

You may call Admission to double check the case of your target school though. They’re very helpful.
