想小朋友讀IB，目標 1. ESF(hillside) > 2. CWB Victoria，都係港島而且相對affordable
而家想到8months就開始幫佢報港島全英/英粵playgroup
ESF(hillside)
ESF playgroup 雖然全英，但好似對入ESF(hillside)冇幫助
CWB Victoria
報artplus對入CWB Victoria好似有一定幫助，但其實我心儀ESF(hillside)多d，因為VSA好似中國文化重d，唔知要唔要讀埋國民教育
而家煩惱緊報playgroup，我知港島仲有Tutor time (聽講好好，但我唔想英普)，woodland (全英，但accompanied冇 sat/ sun揀)，英國文化協會(全英，但冇咩近年feedback參考)，港島仲有冇其他全英playgroup推介?
而家點揀group好?
1. 報artplus，到時照考ESF(hillside)，唔得都有可能有CWB Victoria做backup
2. 報ESF playgroup/ 其他全英playgroup，主攻ESF(hillside)，到時想報埋CWB Victoria係咪完全無可能? 因為冇讀artplus/ 其他VEO playgroup

小朋友幾年前讀過ESF hillside, woodland, 英國文化協會playgroup，其實全部都大同小異，亦冇咩特別嘢做（如果有心嘅喺屋企都做到嗰啲嘢），只係為左聽英文而去。
Hillside playgroup惟一好處係俾小朋友熟習interview 環境，但你可以留返大啲先去都未遲。
Artplus我冇研究，但其他playgroup基本上唔會差太遠，揀時間地點就可以。

以前我冇經驗都曾經好緊張，周圍上playgroup，但其實佢地真係大同小異，如果你只係想為入IS，想俾小朋友習慣英文環境，咁你隨便上你講嗰幾間(woodland, tutortime, ESF, British Council) 都可以。
呢啲playgroup 不外乎一齊唱歌、arts and craft、messy play、free play、story time、circle time，遇到好老師就好，唔太關邊間playgroup事。

How old is your kid? If you want to ensure a place at Hillside, you should try to get into their Pre-K program at Tung Chung or Wan Chai. Other than that, ESF doesn't really look at which playgroups your kid went to. It matters more whether you have a foreign passport.
For CWB Vic, yes go to Arts Plus.

港島相對平民嘅國際學校有冇其他選擇(可以俾一年十幾萬學費但唔想買debenture，CDNIS 都近我，但計埋annual capital levy 每年200k) ?

Is joining Wan Chai Pre K an advantage for getting in Hillside? Anyway, I will probably enrol that coz I want my kid to study in ESF
I know foreign passport really matters but I dun have...aiii

CDNIS over 200k
FIS 130-140k左右，入學要買120k debenture

If you want to study ESF kindergarten, recommend you to join their playgroup.

GSIS 學費都算抵，要debenture但fully refundable。只不過無乜家長咁有自信當GSIS係back up...

ESF 有外國passport ，會相對易d。想易入ESF primary school ，你應該目標係入ESF幼稚園，因為一定會入番ESF小學。
不過，無外國passport，通常會派Ma On Shan啟新同Discovery Bay智新，因為呢兩間係私校，無外國passport限制。

CDNIS，你無加拿大護照都唔使諗。
其實，而家入IS，首先係你要睇下你有無外國護照。
如果你無外國護照，學校遠近，價錢，出名都唔關你事。睇下有邊間肯收你才算。

樓主，你無外國passport，你唔好諗咩心唔心儀。你應該睇下邊間比較易入，而學費你又覺得ok。

其實，間間你都要預20K一年，因為每年會加學費。
如果想IB，又平學費，可以考慮天后保良局建造業商會學校。唯一缺點，無中學部。
其實，IB又未必一定要從幼稚園開始嘅，中學開始，其實會更加好。
幼稚園，小學，培養小朋友大量閲讀，對IB學習更有幫助。
VSA唔可以話當係back up，因為係大把家長心儀。VSA嘅中文教育非常好。(我有朋友讀呢間)
你無外國護照，無得話當熱門IS係Back up。
小朋友得3 months，食下，瞓下，玩下就算。其實，playgroup，對考幼稚園無咩特別幫助。有心入ESF，可以考慮Sai Sha間新幼稚園，新校通常容易入。因為，你要入到ESF幼稚園，才可以保證入到ESF 小學。不過，你有心理準備，ESF中文真係教得不太好，你預咗要狂補習。

點入都好，至少要有外國passport 。

其實考ESF play visit都只係睇英文 所以就算tutortime 英普 都唔會有問題
同埋 唔想playgroup英普 原因係？ 如果屋企講廣東話 其實上粵語playgroup我覺得相對無咁有價值
FIS 小學初中非IB , highschool 最後2年IB debenture 120K refundable （有出世紙就可apply 夠鐘就會call nursery mass intake assessment 如非抗拒呢間 可照入左紙先）港島線
KIS 學費平 無debenture
KCIS 學費平 但口碑好似麻麻 （可爬下文）校舍環境好似無咩資料睇到
DSC 非IB 但可做國際學校backup
btw, 見樓主較concern國教 中國文化太濃厚嘅學校
國際學校暫時都守得住 第時唔知啦～ 但相對地 如他日國際學校有變動 守唔住esf應該會比較follow 政府一套 始終以前都政府資助 關係良好
FIS 或其他國家background support嘅 應該守得穩啲

Hi! did you chose ESF pre-K in Wan chai? heard that the campus is extremely small and not worth to spend an early year there to learn... can you get in ESF K successfully?

個人認為CDNIS主要睇小朋友是否好動外向、有自信、老師問問題有無反應。
原本讀ESF pre K想入hillside, 結果有更好offer當然轉啦

wondering if ESF pre-k in Wan Chai is good or not as the centre is really small and hearsay they request one caregiver to stay in the campus for the whole time during the class.

For kids that are under 3 years old, 1 helper/parent is required to stay there.
Overall, I think the curriculum is good. I saw significant improvement in social skills and confidence.
