Applying for both now. Really like the new bilingual program at CDNIS - one day PTH and one day english. Believe their focus in english/sports is probably much more vs SIS/VSA/ISF (but weaker in academics ? correct me if wrong). However uni placement of HKIS/CIS/GSIS is way better. so eventually want to get into those top three. so shall we try to get into HKIS at early age (reception 1 or 2) rather than later?
Does anyone know how many CDNIS primary school kids can get into those top 3 HKIS/CIS/GSIS Middle school at Yr 6 or 7 every year? is the chance super slim?

Why not aim for the top 3 directly? for CIS, you will not need to worry about the Chinese, while for GSIS/HKIS, a lot of parents will arrange private tutors to help with the Chinese. Trying to jump from another school to these top schools is always not easy, it really depends on the number of leavers vs. applicants.

都是無用的煩惱，因為要等拿到offer再选择。
恕我直言，就面前火爆的申請場面，這兩個學校waitlisted 的概率遠大於admitted

我都啱啱睇到呢個post, 你揀嗰啲都係一線，真係收到Offer先再煩啦，每間waitlist 差不多去到千位人數了

我朋友本來都係同你一樣咁target，最終佢都要逼住先入二三線IS之後先慢慢再考

前一兩年真係間間IS都易入咗，所以話有危就有機，幾個朋友冇priority 申請插班難入的IS到waiting都成功咗，但今年真係明顯競爭大了，因為本地/海外/專才都好多首選IS，事實上香港IS真係辦得幾成功，一條龍上唔洗考來考去，英文語境佳又可以學下中文，還有IB課程比較迎合將來需要。

不想掀起不必要的爭論，不過至少那個媽媽是這樣跟我說，孩子暫讀2/3線的IS,之後再考回一線
每人心目中把尺都唔同，自己喜歡，覺得適合便可以，不作討論
