以下幾間我都有朋友仔女讀過都強力推介，成績好又all round的男女校, 多宿生比例，其實到高中，邊道讀書都好忙架。

我諗有幾樣嘢要留意。
1. 如果小朋友而家讀緊中二，係咪已經十四歲？（幾月出世？）英國學校入學計年齡唔計香港讀到form幾，入學嗰年9月1日足14歲未夠15歲係入Year 10，足15歲未夠16歲係入Year 11。如果你而家揾學校今年9月入，咁可能仲趕得切入Year 10，不過而家仲有位嘅好嘅全寄宿學校絕無僅有喇。如果你係諗住揾學校佢出年讀完中三去，咁又非常尷尬，因為Year 11唔係主要收生年，好嘅學校又係唔會收生。（GCSE係一個兩年制考試，一般好嘅學校一定唔會收Year 11只有一年時間準備去考，萬一有咩差遲害咗學生又害咗學校。少部分會開一年制iGCSE嘅英國學校，又唔會係你想讀嘅好學校）
所以，除非你小朋友今年9月仲係13歲，你最大可能係要幫佢諗讀完中四過英國讀Year 12喇。
2. 就咁望啲list，其實冇咩意義。而且一間學校「話」全寄宿高都唔一定係高（原因可以參考我日誌），所以想揾「真」全寄宿比例高嘅學校都要留心。隨口噏啲真寄宿比例高（起碼70%'Full' Boarding）嘅男女校包括：
- Rugby school （我母校）
- Marlborough
- Wellington College （係college唔係school，兩間嚟嘅）
- Oundle
- Uppingham
- Shrewsbury
- Kings School Canterbury
- St Edward's
- Repton
等等。當中有一線學校有二線學校，但係都會俾到傳統英式寄宿體驗。有啲學校都非常好，但「真」全寄宿唔夠五成，例如：
- Charterhouse
- Sevenoaks
等等。
3. 傳統英式寄宿教育主要鼓勵學生自學，唔會瘋狂操卷。如果你小朋友本身有能力，佢去邊間（就算一或二線）成績都唔會差，唔需要太介懷學校成績/排名爭幾個百分點。整體成績好嘅學校，係因為收生門欖高，啲學生本身能力夠，唔係因為學校老師識魔術，唔使神化啲學校嘅增值能力。反而應該揾間合適嘅學校，等小朋友寄宿體驗間豐富。24/7住喺學校，如果體驗錯配，反而會影響心情繼而影響學業。例如Wellington College係運動型學校，橫掃咗學界欖球十幾年。咁如果小朋友係好動運動型可能好適合，但係如果偏向文靜，咁未必係最好嘅配對。

樓上同再樓上講果堆都係好學校，而家開始報明年Y10 其實仲趕得切，我仔6月出世當年都係讀完中三去英國讀Y10 。

多謝大家回覆， 其實已經著手去搵去問， 但係好多好好的學校今年已經冇位。 所以唔知應該可以點做。是否應該等a level 才回去？ 還是現在有不太差的 boarding 也應該過去。

是否應該不太差的boarding也應該過去，就睇你點定義為差囉。有好多香港家長一定要成績好/排名高先叫好學校，如果根據咁嘅邏輯，咁真係唔太差都應該過去。如果你唔係呢啲家長，好清醒好知好學校其實唔一定全部都係成績排行榜最頭嘅學校，咁對你嚟講嘅不太差可能又真係未必好嘅選擇。
結果你都係要取捨。

如果只是想有學習亦有生活，而又將來有希望入到好好的英國大學。除了考慮英國的好的boarding school 之外，我建議亦都可以同時考慮埋轉讀香港的國際學校。自己的小朋友從小在港讀國際學校，中學時身邊的同學都有唔少轉去英國嘅boarding school, 其中一個原因是小朋友偏科所以唔讀IB而(emoji)讀A level.
其實睇番，不論是(emoji)去英國或者是留港的，分別不太大。本身叻嘅同學好多都入到英國好好嘅大學
不過現在無論是英國或香港好嘅國際學校都唔多位

好同意的講第2點，香港人習慣純用數字揀學校，因為local school 間間差唔多。
不過補充Wellington college 就算不擅長運動的學生都適合，我朋友的小孩是音樂人，學校超好，替他攪個人recital，小朋友不好運動又和家長商量安排不易受傷的運動給他，學校pastoral care亦非常好本身文化強調kindness, 冇人bullying.
不過英國學校好強調運動，香港人真係唔好自細太書蟲，去到會好難D融入。

唔知你點定義不太差
我覺得要起碼讀書風氣好成績中上
因為都快要考公開試
上面提的學校全部都應該「不太差」，定你還有其他目標？
其實高中全部都係好忙，我覺得你咁遲轉主要係為學制轉了。

係小朋友自問提出的， 所以時間好趕。
我之前指的「不太差」着眼在boarding rate 低， eg Caterham
怕他weekend 會比較少活動。

今年去英國係搵Year 幾呢？9 定 10?
如果中二已覺得忙，留在香港讀中三的話，係更加更加忙。傳統名校的中三生涯唔嘢少

運動好唔好確實同融入冇直接關係。
不過肯參與運動，唔會下下都唔玩唔試，又肯定會有助融入。（碌唔碌低唔係重點，手腳唔協調都冇問題嘅，最緊要係肯參與）。
至於個別學校是否合適，其實係有分別嘅。當然大部分好嘅英國寄宿學校都非常重視全人教育，所以冇話有人係完全唔啱嘅。但係例如Wellington呢類超強運動型學校，一個運動型學生會更適合。一個冇咁運動型嘅，當然可能都冇問題，但係事實上唔係最適合，佢去一間唔使專登就佢玩啲冇咁刺激運動嘅咪更啱囉。就算佢係Wellington College開心，唔代表佢去間更着重音樂冇咁着重運動嘅學校唔會更開心。
所以我個人認為，research學校，要連學校係咩類型都考慮埋，配合性格就更加如魚得水（雖然唔配合唔代表一定讀得唔開心）。

其實樓主一路都唔答係去升讀year 幾，大家俾咩意見都係假，講真入讀唔同year 有不同考慮因素。

咁你應該只可以報2023年9月讀y10，你都係網友提過嗰啲學校，逐間電郵問仲考唔考慮收生，如果你小朋友係名校成績又好，不妨晌電郵入面提，附件最近嘅成績表，最好呢一兩日send晒佢，好快又mid term break，想提高機會的話，諗吓single sex都會唔會試報
