Does anyone received R2 offer for coming 23-24 of HKIS？Thanks

We are still waiting R2 result too but I think our chance is slim.

Why slim？I have only seen R1 offer on the Internet , So just wondering if we failed or HKIS have not sent R2 offer yet.

We don’t have any priority. Also, I heard from the admission briefing during interview held on late Feb that the offer is expected to send out in mid March.

That is what was communicated to R1. I am not sure about R2. But for R1, the results were leased in March in batches. Maybe they will release R2 after Easter.

priority for r2 should be the same as r1.

It depends on the years...R1 has most spots open for new applicants. For R2, if I remember correctly there are 2-3 more students than R1 in each class. So ~20 odd places available in total, plus anyone who leave at R1.

I would guess there are ~30 places available for R2, but I am not sure how is the split between debenture holder, staff/alumni and places without priority. I suggest you call the admission for more color

thanks for ur detailed info. generally how many spaces due to existing kids leaving? and the leaving major reason? back to home country? i dont think they will change to local school or other IS? as to my understanding hkis is already the top IS.

Only the school has the exact number of R1 leavers but I suspect they will reveal it even if you call them...They only gave us a rough number in the open day last year...
There are numerous reasons why people are leaving, such as getting offer from the likes of CIS/GSIS, expats going back home, personal economic circumstances, locations etc...but the number is not huge, so the best chance to enter should be R1
