Usually get offer in March for the first batch of students. My son got the offer end of March years ago. Good luck!

Congratulations. 我記得你小朋友有CDNIS offer (深刻印象因為所有人都係淨係waitlist得你有offer). 可唔可以講吓點解揀HKIS?

To us the two schools very good and we are really lucky to get both. We finally ended up picking HKIS (and forfeiting 80k deposit with CDNIS) because HKIS seems to have better matriculation overall, while the all-in school fee (including capital levy) does not really differ much. Also at HKIS R1, it is full-day already while at CDNIS, we only managed to get the half-day class at EY2.
But the flip side is that CDNIS offers better Chinese learning, which we struggle a lot whether to give it up...just that with ChatGPT and AI, we felt like written Chinese may not be as important when the kid grows up.
In addition, HKIS has a longer history so the alumni network will be stronger than CDNIS.
That being said, both are very good schools and you cannot go wrong with either.

In terms of how "easy" to get to different schools, I think one needs to put things in context:
For GSIS, there are only 2 classes in its EKG1
For CIS, there are 96 spots in reception years, so it could be "easier" compared to GSIS, but I would imagine given the much-stronger Chinese in CIS the demand for it must be much higher than GSIS too, especially among Chinese parents. So one perhaps needs to look at the supply:demand ratio but I guess only the school has the number.
HKIS has 9 classes open for R1, so by the sheer number it must be "easier" to get in compared to CIS unless the number of applicants is >2x in HKIS than CIS, which I doubt very much given the "weaker" Chinese program in HKIS. But if expat come back later, it could be a lot more difficult than now.
So for reception year, HKIS is perhaps the easiest. But past that, I am not sure how to compare the three. In the end, it depends how many places are available (how many leavers) vs. the number of applicants.
