Are you starting from HK?  Buy a flight from HK to Manchester then, ticket price would probably be similar to your London ticket.

Or buy a ticket from Heathrow to Manchester, should be <100 pounds, cheaper than taxi.

其實倫敦機場的 central bus station 有National Express 搭, 中途在 Birmingham 轉一次車，車程較長, 要5個半鐘。轉車時間都夠買件 sandwiches食。車費大約  45鎊。

If you are taking train, there are at least 2 transfers and one of them would be in London.  

London stations are not passenger friendly - you may need to move your luggage up or down staircase(s) within that station.

You may check the station's accessibility in London Transport's webpage, e.g. Paddington Station - https://tfl.gov.uk/tube/stop/940 ... tep%2Dfree%20access,hours%20from%20Monday%205%20September.

If you are taking the bus, you should check the luggage restriction in advance.  I remember it just allowed one big luggage with weight limit.

我試過帶一大(28")及一小(20") 行李坐  National Express, 上到車。我覺得幾方便, 架車就係旅遊巴一樣, 行李有工作人員幫手放車底, 人就行上車就可以了。Birmingham 轉車都一樣, 在站頭等, 車來了又有人幫手放行李, 不用抬高抬低。唯一係車程時間耐。

加 8-10鎊  多一件行李, OK 喎。

長途巴士黎講，National Express比Megabus 舒適好多。

5個幾鐘車程睇落好長，但其實唔多覺，因為中途會經過其他城市，會停低上客。

所有National Express bus 都有廁所，ok乾淨的。

食物方面我會建議你係機場買定份三文治。

係，可以加錢，帶多件行李，唔貴。但唔洗提早加錢住，上車時，司機會望一望，唔會專登收多一件，特別係樣貌似學生，司機會醒目處理。我孩子試過兩次，兩件大行李，無收extra。

我都坐過megabus, 車少很多，路線都少，但有時真係平過national express。
