as captioned, been informed by email today that the above flight Heathrow to Amsterdam would be canceled. I am trying to phone CX but still couldn't get through.

Do u mean connecting flights from London to Hong Kong ?

Yes, the first leg of the journey was canceled.the CX 270 Amsterdam to HK still operates.
