有冇人讀HKA

all of a sudden, i wanted to know how outsider think of HKA so i went to edukingdom and find this post. my kids are with HKA for 6 years now and we love this school. It has great community spirit, caring teachers, supportive parents, and students quite enjoying themselves. The kids there they are generally polite. They have a very inclusive environment and they are not academically driven school. Number of student is not high, good quality of education, of course the fee is also expensive but i think it is worthwhile. Afterall, the best thing you can give to your children is education. hope it helps la!

之前一直好有興趣，但比起其他學校好似好神秘，比較難揾到佢d評價，加上一定要買60萬債卷就卻步了

my child joined HKA's playgroup and we had a wonderful experience there. It's an ideal school in many ways except, in our case, that it's too pricey...

冇記錯HKA係會揀nationality嚟收（想盡量diverse），唔會大量收香港人，咁自然少喺EK揾到用家。去Facebook group應該會揾到多啲人講。

Pros: student mix非常diverse，小班，幼稚園到小學每班兩至三個老師，老師照顧非常周到，very caring。小學校長應該識哂所有學生，連每個學生既性格都好了解。家長們非常友善，會互相幫忙。

Academically 唔pushy，但唔代表老師唔care，好多外人覺得間學校hea，但其實唔係。正因為小班老師又多，跟唔上既會抽出黎額外教，例如初小有老師會特別對reading比較弱既學生form成一group，再遂個教phonics，writing又係。我知有其他學校只會同家長講跟唔上但又唔幫個學生。

學校唔會只focus on academic，亦會著重social skills。同同學嗌交會被捉入校長室訓話。打人更唔使講。係學校整親老師會即日email家長。

Cons: 中文淺，not pushy，IB成績唔亮麗，學費貴，有人會覺得多外國人唔like。

呢間學校唔多適合只追求成績，local mindset既家長。

Not mandate to buy debenture (anymore) - there is an option to pay annual capital levy though if a student stays through to secondary it’s better value to get the refundable debenture.

Fees are relatively higher than other IS though, close to HK$200K a year.. but the campus, small class size and everything else is really attractive!!

不是每個家庭都仲起碼買一份債卷嗎？不是弟弟或妹妹才可以免買債券？

IB平均分全港最低

即係平均分幾多，如果平均分係34 to 36, 就算最低又如何, 已經係好成績，大部分學生應去到理想大學，不要去同40+雙制直資去比較，無意思㗎

舊年平均分好似36定37，之前幾年around 33~34。有家長真係以IB成績評學校好唔好。所以我都話如果只睇成績就唔好揀呢間。

我只將我知既野講出黎，好唔好見人見智，都係嗰句啦，只有適唔適合，沒有好唔好。

同埋佢每年都唔係好多學生考IB, 呢兩年都好似得十幾人，所以每年成績會比其他學校比較波動

係，好多去美國讀大學既都唔考IB，或者只考一兩科。
