What are the difference between the two?Does that mean I pay the surge charge, my daughter can get health care? I don't have any NHS number. I need to apply for anything again?

NHS=英國公民

【什麼是National Health Service (NHS)】

是英國醫療服務系統的統稱，管理英國的醫院、門診和醫務人員。除了英國居民之外，符合條件的外國人也都可以享受免費或部分免費的醫療服務。

【什麼是 Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)】

這個是移民醫療附加費。在英國停留超國6個月以上，在申請簽證時就會需要繳交一個iHS費用。以同學出國留學來說，系統會依照課程長度計算需繳交的費用，繳交後即可享有NHS的服務。

即係學生嘅大學課程係四年，就需要一次過繳交4年NHS 費用，是嗎？

一般都係。大學課程係4年，你申請student VISA時已經要交4年IHS，VISA獲批年期都係4年。

IHS is the fee for a non British Citizen to pay to get service from NHS. Your daughter's school usually will register a GP nearby on be half of your daughter . A letter of registration acknowledgement from that GP with NHS number will be issued to your daughter.
