tuition is about the same.

Greenfield is a bigger school and has better primary school placement. My kid is august kid was rejected by greenfield coz he wasn't able to finish all the required task by himself in the video.
Sophie campus is very spacious and nice. class size is much smaller. each class will have one cantonese and one net teacher in the classroom whole 3hrs. 50% will attend international school after K2. Sophie has less publicity so less known to ppl outside of the area. However, the principal is a PLK director. I think that helps kids to get a place in PLK primary school.

my kid has been attending sophie playgroup and he likes it. he will attend sophie PN in this august.

personally i prefer a bigger school with more different dynamics among children. anyway, we may try to apply greenfield again for K1.

Thanks so much for your sharing. Your kid was rejected for PN? I thought they still have vacancies now.
What will they do for the interview at Sophie? We will go for PN interview next week.

Greenfield video is a bit challenging. It was submitted in Oct (14mth). The kids need to clap through a birthday song, cut veggie, chop stamps on a book, pick the right color balloons and kick a soccer ball. I have friends sept kids got accepted. My kids barely completed the task.

Sophie interview is very relaxing.The net teacher ask my kid to do walk a straight line and pass obstacle. move a few blocks.
The cantonese teacher ask my kid to pick the car and spoon and pass them to her.

Greenfield 有位，有點意外會唔收。我現在讀緊pn, 老師都ok既～停課期間，日日都有網課，都唔錯。但k1轉龍校

係啦，我仲以為實收添。係咪好多人都會考到龍校K1 轉走？請問英普好啲還是英粵？
睇落上年成績升小好似Sophie 好過Greenfield.

I heard there alot more ppl applied greenfield PN these year. the waiting list was long and we didn't get into the waiting.

sophie only has about 20nos. student graduate from K3. The placement list may look better.my kid played with about 10 kids at the seaside promenade and they would attend PN these yr. they are all putonghua speaking and most of them applied greenfield. my kid was the only cantonese speaking. you can expect greenfield putonghua teaching will be very strong.

I see. Thanks for your information. I think you can still apply for insert class later as some people may withdraw when they receive better offers from LH, SC, etc

係啦，好多間課室，我覺得遲下一定有位，即7，8月時。

係呀，多人轉走
但其實老師幾好，小朋友返學都開心
我英粵班，都有普通話老師
又近屋企，但考到龍校就轉啦

基本上兩間都好易入，Sophie其實都好大間而且係同一間校舍內，但係gf係分開好多間房的（雖然加埋大過Sophie)

我都煩緊應該揀GF定Sophie, 我有去過Sophie個open day, 感覺啲老師好好，地方又大又靚，小朋友響Sophie 既open day玩得好開心，反觀GF好似好神秘咁，大家識唔識有人響浪澄GF讀過？comment如何？

my friend's son attended GF LP for 3mths before immigration to other country.she said her son likes GF. The teachers are great.
i think both GF and sophie are ok.

I don't know detail fee for GF

Sophie
monthly tuition 6500
book 1st semester 4000
snack 1st semester 1900
plus uniform

the book fee is a turn off.

York PN tuition is 5980. book+exercise $1065 only!

only concern about sophie is class dynamic. u see the FB each photo has less than 10kids in the classroom. for hygiene and convid prevention is good. however, it will not as dynamic as a class of 28 students like other school.

A child of a friend of mine is attending Sophie and she is very happy with the school. Teachers are caring and concerned about the kids and would spare time to maintain close communication with parents. The curriculum sounds quite competitive too. Kids have to recognise chinese characters and learn phonics early.

我依家果班大約20人
分兩個課室上堂
分group A, group B
即一個課室大約10個小朋友
一個老師跟
有陣時會有助教

佢係輪流嘅
每班有一個英文老師同一個廣東話老師
50% 英文，50%廣東話咁上下

因為佢比較大，多課室，所以可以分開小朋友喺唔同課室上堂

或者可以打電話問學校，學校都會再講解多啲

Thanks for your sharing！咁你幫你小朋友揀30%廣東話定30%普通話呢？我幫左我個女揀左30%普通話，但我個女依家講嘢好差，我怕佢連廣東話都講得唔好更何況普通話呢，所以有少少想同佢報返30%廣東話

另外想問下GF會唔會train小朋友discipline? 因為我個女好似甩繩馬騮咁，Sophie太free,我怕我個女會變本加厲，更加坐唔定冇耐性

我選廣東話
我覺得小朋友咁細個，學唔到咁多外語
同埋我感覺無30% 廣東話咁少
果時online class, 好像每日英文50mins，廣東話50mins，普通話20-30mins

Train discipline 唔算太清楚
家長陪同上堂時，見老師都會叫小朋友返回位坐，但唔係好嚴厲咁叫，係小朋友行出位太耐，都會帶返小朋友埋位

Pn我覺得可以
始終小朋友細個，會走動下都好正常
大大下就會定

Sophie had a pretty good P1 placement last year - my girl graduated from there.

My elder son was in Sophie for 2 years. We left after K1 as got offered by an IS. I couldn’t be happier with Sophie.

My son was a very shy and cautious boy when he started pn. He cried for an entire month. Teachers had to carry him all the time. I got calls from teacher everyday to give me an update on how he’s doing.

Teachers were lovely there, very caring. My son had then become a lot more open and active. I think its bcoz of the supportive environment.

I also had some supports from the school when I was applying IS. The teachers arranged some 121 session with Ethan the day he had interview to go through some questions with him. I really appreciate that. The principle is also very helpful. I heard from the Sophie parent group that for the current K3 kids, the principle has handwritten letters for all kids.

Now my younger son is going to PN in august.

舊生用家，已離開。Sophie 學校內部對老師唔太好，我見老師成日轉，學校雖然大啲，但老師轉得密反映行政有問題，咁樣老師唔會有心機係學校做，對小朋友一定有影響。

而且比得呢個價錢讀Sophie,點解唔去其他出名啲嘅學校讀書？起碼有保障。有心想讀國際學校嘅，點解要比咁貴學費喺度讀？呢間學校已經開咗7、8年，到現在規模都冇變過/發展唔到，學校唔係冇課室收學生，而係收唔到/留唔到佢哋（好多時學生讀讀下都會轉校），就大概知道學校運作的唔太好，校長同校監都係同一個人，咁樣嘅運作根本行唔通。

校董係PLK有地位，但唔代表佢一定會幫你，有留到K3嘅學生家長同我講，校長唔係個個肯寫推薦信，當然如果你小朋友喺學校聽聽話話，家長又識得討好主任同校長嘅，推薦信就一定到手。咁就要你睇吓你係咪呢啲人。

有家長朋講，小朋友以前係學校食飯，下晝再喺學校上堂，家長俾成千幾二千元飯錢，個小朋友係食齋嘅，點知返屋企講，喺學校只係食白飯/意粉，真係唔覺得佢哋對小朋友好。

就讀期間有老師中途離開，雖然係話身體問題（係咪就真係唔知），通告話會有一位新的中文老師、一位英文老師繼續任教，而且會有一位助教係班房。但事實係，我個仔同我講，課室根本冇助教，一直只得兩位老師喺課室上堂，而且英文老師有時會好長時間離開課室（有傳話係去咗教上午班嘅興趣班）

只可以講呢間學校表面工夫做得好好。係咪要揀間咁嘅學校，各位家長自行決定。

我的女兒讀完PN, 非常喜歡Sophie，如果不是要轉一間比較近家的幼稚園，我一定會讓女兒繼續讀下去。每天女兒放學也很開心，亦不會抗拒上學。學校很大，很多元化，老師很有愛心。功課只是星期五放學才有，亦只是填色。每月也有課外書給你回家看。短短只是PN一年，我女兒學到不小中文及英文。所以真的覺得這幼稚園很好，雖然不是什麼名校，但小班教學，學校環境及有愛心很重要。

我大女之前PN都係讀Sophie, 我覺得呢間學校好好；環境大又舒服，小朋友返學好開心；但係學校又教到嘢，中文、英文都唔係淺；大小肌肉都有訓練。每個月頭都會有教學概要話俾家長知黎緊一個月會學咩，月尾會有份report 反映返小朋友進步；而且又會影相俾家長睇返小朋友喺學校上堂情況。老師都好好，好supportive。
我哋K1 轉走咗，因為去咗讀ESF。
細女遲啲讀N班，我都會再揀Sophie。
推薦朋友個囡讀咗一年，佢都讚Sophie 好好，個囡由開頭坐唔定唔聽人講嘢，讀咗一年乖咗好多又有禮貌。黎緊都會繼續留喺Sophie 升K。
