citizen 唔可以讀foundation.
請問citizen用DSE results 排UAC申請大學，可以嗎?要怎樣計劃？

- for Uni in Sydney, you can apply via UAC, it's now open for applications. You may go to UAC website directly to understand more about the process and schedule.- for Mel, you can apply via VTAC (a different system), for semester starting Feb 2022, you can apply in Aug.

請問如經兩個systems申請sydney 和 Melbourne 的大學，如兩邊都有大學offer時，係要即時選其中一間嗎？

女兒是澳洲citizen，在英國剛剛讀完中學A level回港隔離，成績會8月先出。
佢咁嘅情況（海外讀完中學，用local身份申請大學），申請Sydney U和Melbourne U，用的是本地ATAR分數嗎？... 還是用海外分數呢？
佢讀Eng Lit、History和Math，外加一個EPQ。
讀Eng Lit應該可以豁免Eelts吧？

No, bec they are two separated systems. The admission systems for different states are managed individually.

我两個仔澳洲公民，英國讀完5年boarding school才申報澳洲大學。用A level的predicted grade申請Sydney U 都收左。方法是要跟正常local student系統申請，填完application 就直接寫信比大學，如果你的IGCSE 成績及 A level 的predicted grade成績比大學入學要求高、他們會當special case咁跟進。Sydney U是可以接受predicted grade的，不用等8月A level真正成績出來，好處是不用同local student 一齊爭(我們是排local那一條線，比international student競賽爭大的),可以提早在4、5月就知結果，作為back up了。但這方法只適用於Sydney U。另外UNSW好像有一些科目也可以的，他改了一年有幾個入學日子，也可以查詢一下。其他大學我沒有研究。Melbourne U一定要等A level成績出。

To be eligible for entry, students must be at least 16 years of age at the time of commencement. Where students do not have their final results from their Year 11 or Year 12 studies, forecast (Semester 1) results are accepted in most cases.
Australian citizens and permanent residents are welcome to apply for all UNSW Foundation Studies Programs.
Please note that Foundation programs are primarily designed for students with an international background and English language studies are included in the program.

可試U of Canberra. Or take UNSW transition foundation, just a few months and then feed to other university like Curtin or Uni of SA or Flinder Uni.

According to the Conversion table in UQ, DSE best 5 - 21 equivalent to ATAR 88. Your son or daughter can try Curtin U. No worries. The lower rank of this subject for 2022 is getting lower than before. I just checked from www.courseseeker.com.au

Yes. You can try. Lowest rank is ATAR 83 for Monash Uni , Peninsula campus.Bear in mind. MU is v hard to graduate.In Australia, graduate from which Uni is not the major concern. The asian likes the Group of 8 member. I think Curtin U is better in this field.
You can consider other course. Just meet the lowest rank.

Sydney U只有2月及7月入學，我两個仔係報7月入學，4月收左之後再寫信去大學申請延期至下一年的2月入學。因為當時他們還在英國等UCAS放榜。後來他們也決定留在英國讀大學。

Csp 報時不用提供任何證明，但收左后要開學一個月前上報USI no.

因為阿仔ESF 中學個Higher Education Counsellor 上個禮拜正講緊報澳洲CSPs 要Tax File TFN，又話要飛返澳洲才可以申請。
因為香港暫時仲好難book 航班來回澳洲+返港quarantine hotel，煩惱緊點可以申請TFN+報CSPs。如果唔駛攞TFN 可以申請CSPs 真係天大喜訊！
請多多指教，謝謝！

唔好意思，請問CSP係咪commonwealth sponsored place，是否用local fee 讀大學？ 如果要tax file, 係咪要父母係澳洲工作才得呢？我起初以為Australian PR或citizen就可以用local student fee讀大學！

CSP 即係用local fee 讀大學。
只係學生自己要申請TFN, 同父母有否在澳洲工作交稅無關係，唔駛擔心！

我睇過Monash大學網站資料，話如果唔申請student loan HELP,可以唔填Tax file number.但我都未confirm.
可以寫email去俾大學confirm一下。

A quick look at UNSW, it also said that TFN is only required when apply for Government loan.

There is no link.This is my experience. If you can't fly to aussie, you cant have that USI no As our case is my gal holds NZ passport, her VISA 444 will not be activated until she was in Aussie). you can try to apply USI www.usi.gov.au .
But for our case, we finally landed aussie in 2/2021 before the school started, so we are okay.
I think as long as you enter aussie before the school start, it will be okay. It will not be okay for those who intended to study online outside Aussie.
we were so frustrated when we applied usi, no one can answer our question!
we were like a ball kicking here and there for 3 months!
To clarify, we don't need to provide TFN. IF you can't create an USI, you can't get CSP.

I just registered and obtained a USI remotely. It seems you only need an valid passport, all Australian contacts like mobile, home phone number and address.

As I mention, we are New Zealander, so only we have entered the country to validate our visa, we were not able to create USI. If you are a citizen or PR which have been in australia before. It should be okay. There is no need for having a TFN for applying CSP. I am not asked to provide TFN when I applied at UAC or QTAC. Or VTAC ( those are central application for university at that state). Actually I am not asked to provide any identify information when applying. For anyone who has question, maybe just create an account at the site , say UAC, to double check the requirements

想同大家分享下，我仔啱啱今年2022用citizen身份在墨爾本讀大學，攞的是csp位。佢在申請UAC及VTAC時，好似要提供USI,哩個號碼係可以在網上申請得到的，另外申請csp位係唔需要TFN的，直到現在我仔都未去申請TFN，因為我地無申請loan,依家唔申請loan,學費可打九折。因為啱啱先攪過UAC及VTAC,所以比較清楚嗰遊戲點玩法，如有任何問題，可以私底下pm我。
