仔仔有St Cat N(超大b) 同 esf offer (本身n無,俾左$50萬買債卷,唔讀可以拎番）
esf 讀2年幼稚園一條龍直升小學唔使煩不過中文要外補同$$$
St cat 讀4年先升小可以學好中文不過升小條路好漫長

仔仔本身都幾斯文幾鍾意睇書同周圍探索佢分別上過兩間既playgroups 都幾鍾意

有冇過來人可以傾下偈俾下意見

睇下你target 咩啦。
St cat 就可以學幾年中文但升小又要再煩過。
國際就esf 而且仲一條龍輕鬆好多。如果放棄左之後入得返既機會都細。除非你k2 後再比50萬買個機會

我同樓主嘅situation一樣，我自己其實好鐘意st cat, 但一諗到要去公海搏鬥考小一，就無得唔揀esf
想問下樓主，除左要考慮中文，有無其它嘅consideration, 我都好驚諗漏

My son go to st cat N class before, then he will go to esf K1 later this year ....

I know some people will think that going to esf only in primary maybe a better choice, as he will learn some basic Chinese when he is in k.

But I think if in the end you are keen to go to esf , better to go in K instead of changing it in primary ..for better development...

如果想走isch路線，esf KG
如果唔介意考DSE，只是怕玩升小遊戲，就SC啦。

我相信讀得SC，加父母K2開始落少少心機，要考到直私不難，當然如你aim high 就不是咁容易

我覺得唔好純因為唔想玩小一呢個遊戲而揀IS
如果你個心根本唔係buy IS既理念
到最後你可能會頂唔順IS
個時就真係兩頭唔到岸

As far as I know, ESF does not have債卷, only nomination rights that is payable when your kid passes the interview and is offered a place. It is not refundable even if you later decide not to go to ESF. Suggest you check with ESF before making the decision.
"The Individual Nomination Rights (INR) is a means for parents to gain a “fast track” entry to one of the ESFSchools. It is a non-refundable HK$500,000 Nomination Right which guarantees priority on the waiting listand a place subject to success at interview."

according to the school website, if the child is offered a place, the $50k deposit would not be refundable. however, the balance $450k is paid only within 7 days of the offer of a place being made. so if parents decide not to proceed, they do not need to pay the outstanding 450k

one can get the deposit of HK$50k back if the kid fails the interview. My friend asked her son not to say a single word during the interview and successfully got the deposit back.

我諗樓主「預左啤」$50萬姐。個 application process 註明先付 $5萬deposit，$45萬係 confirmed take offer 7日內繳交

Application process:
 Complete the ESF On-line Application Form (available at http://www.esf.edu.hk/application-form) if not
already done so
 Complete and sign this INR Form
 Attach cheque for $50,000 being a non-refundable deposit payable to ‘English Schools Foundation’
 Hand or courier deliver the INR Form, cheque and supporting documents to the English Schools
Foundation, Nomination Rights, 25th/F, 1063 King’s Road, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, marked for the
attention of the Admissions Manager.
 Payment of outstanding HK$450,000 is required within seven days of the offer of a place being made.

i think in this case, the kid has been offered a place. the $50k is gone but if the parents do not want to accept the offer, they can keep the $450k in their pocket

I see, thank you, 好似冇講俾咗50萬但唔讀 kindergarten 都有 refund, 讀完K2, 或之後未能升上ESF 小學就可退

幼稚園個個叫class A debenture
先比5萬deposit
fail interview/有offer但決定唔讀都可以羅返5萬
accept offer就要比埋個45萬
如果唔升ESF Yr1, 50萬全數可退
小學中學個個叫NR
先比5萬deposit
fail interview可羅返5萬
有offer唔take都無得羅返

否則去st cat
