兒子現就讀中四，9月滿16歲，打算9月過去搵state school, 但Year 11不能插班怎辦？

My daughter is now studying F.4 science

but I don't think there is any problem

只讀Year 11就考GCSE, 唔太可行，唔係唔得，好趕。GCSE課程在英國，大部份讀2年（Year 10 & 11）,有少少學校是由Year 9開始教。

大仔喺香港讀完中五，而家過去讀year 12,佢話香港有啲topic冇cover，都有啲吃力。
亦有朋友在香港讀文科中四，過去讀理科IG CSe都好吃力。
所以大仔都唔主張細仔唔讀year eleven

其實主要睇各孩子本身嘅能力， 如果讀埋中四先過去 ，其實應該已經cover咗好多GCSE的內容(指同一科)。
但係香港學校教咗唔代表學生一定識， 香港學校未教亦唔代表學生自己冇去學， 所以唔能夠一概而論， 其他人點樣其實對你孩子冇乜參考價值。
最好你叫你孩子自己上網睇一睇gcse嘅考試範圍， 佢自己衡量可唔可以一年時間完成。

是啊，人人情況不同，不過我認識的最普遍都係香港讀完中四過去讀y12。

不過始終都係佢嘅前途，究竟揀Igcse,定係sixth form, 都係要諗清楚

其實我朋友是Y10 summer term 插班入state school ，上年四月英國停課在HK 上online, 直至九月開學直升Y11, 我都好奇怪第三個term 都可以插班，私校Y10 未必比插班，但學校名我唔記得咗啊
入學時已滿16歲

我女兒上年完成中四後，往英國升讀Y11 （1-yr GCSE course) , 入學時她未滿16歲
同意每個人情況不一，我女中學同班兩位同學，都係完成中四後直接上Y12, 他們已滿16歲，而且在校時亦成績卓越，讀完中四直上Y12, 絕對無問題；我女想A-level 修Chem, 而佢在中四時並沒有修此科，所以想在Y11打好一點基礎先上Y12。
一般一年制GCSE 只會考6-8科左右，有別於傳統由Y9, Y10讀起之考10科以上。 每人情況不一，希望你找到最合適自己孩子的方案

State school 一定跟年齢。就算讀完1 year GCSE 超齡的話都入唔到state school sixth form.
好多讀完F4 去UK 讀6 form
