我完全無俾我小朋友用zoom上playgroup,已經哂左d錢,唔想哂埋時間 XD

好處: 語境好,地方乾淨,清潔姨姨跟得幾足, 接放學時有機會同老師吹兩句
唔好: 有兩個campus, 有機會要轉地方, 老師流失率都高, 不過反正年年班主任唔同所以冇所謂

因school website有講主重presentation skill同有reading program.. 想知呢方面詳情。。謝謝

所謂reading program, 就係每星期學校都會借本中文書同英文書俾啲學生, 叫家長同佢讀, 老師亦會同時讀果本書, 有張紙mark 低叫家長填係同小朋友一起讀, 定係佢自己讀, 老師會響果張紙寫feedback, 如果本書唔熟, 學生就會再讀同一本書多個禮拜, presentation 應該係講老師鼓勵啲學生對住個group全部人講嘢吧

k1 有啲升咗龍校幼,有啲升咗國際學校, 不過唔少都升k1

我個人覺得pods 嘅學生及家長嘅質素都唔會差得去邊,所以我見唔到沒禮貌的學生
睇小朋友,老師會make sure 個個小朋友都有回答機會

anyone know when the result will be available? the interview questions were not difficult but baby decided not to respond to them over zoom as usual :)

11 Dec by email as mentioned on their website and also at the end of the Zoom interview.
My kid also did not respond at all... 
he was literally frozen. Ironically he responded well to the same song in his Zoom class immediately after the interview. LOL

Frozen was actually not too bad...my kid kept climbing to the ipad wanted to switch it off....
which stream have you applied for? I have applied bilingual stream.

Had no experience on Pods so the comparison is based on my research and gut feeling.
Organisation: VEO/Victoria is bigger so probably the resources is better but with less flexibility. Pods is smaller and the community between teacher/parent/student seems closer
Curriculum: both school should be similar but Pods seems to be more gear toward to the local school system and more academic. Victoria follows the ib framework
Fee: Victoria is approximately 20k higher per year but they barely charge for any miscellaneous things. Not sure about pods on this.
Victoria kids can go to VSA for primary but the competition is keen. And the kids may need to join their step up program (school fee is double of the half day program) to enhance the chance of getting into VSA. (School said irrelevant but the % of step up class getting into vsa said the otherwise)
Victoria is more famous/popular than Pods

For Pods, it really depends on which teachers are assigned to your class. My daughter’s PN class was lucky enough to get a really good Chinese teacher and an ok English teacher, so her class had really good placement for k1. However, both teachers are no longer with Pods.

Have you heard if there were not-so-good teacher in other classes? Also I would like to know how was the school arrangement for the first week of pn? Did parents get to stay with the kids? TIA

I remember that some parents accompanied new PN students in September during the 1st week, and kids would gradually increase their school hours until it reaches 3 hours per day. My daughter started in May as soon as she turned 2 yrs old, so I didn’t get a chance to accompany her inside at all. As for not-so-good teachers, I did hear about them during my time.
