You can try easier and harder books at the same time. It could improve your English by encouraging yourself and letting you learn at the same time. Remember to strike a good balance because going easy will not be able to let your child learn, while going hard will discourage them. I myself has read the Stiltons, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson as well as harder books like Little Women and Sherlock Holmes when I was P.4.
