收生要求就不清楚。小朋友英國學校的under school每年有7-10 個學生入Eton 和1-2個入Winchester。

入Eton的學生一般比較outgoing、喜歡sport、有多種興趣、成績不一定出色。

入Winchester的學生情況都差不多，但係Stem較好的學生會喜歡Winchester多啲。

小朋友無讀有關的under school。這些資料是家長羣組（內有under school 的家長）的分享。

有幾個朋友兒子分別入了Eton和Winchester.
Winchester 鐘意讀書形D， Eton鐘意有音樂或運動項目。佢地本身在香港讀緊IS本身成績都好。
感覺Winchester似香港皇仁，Eton似DB.

想請問如果考Winchester, 於考ISEB Common Pretest(year 6)後，在Year 8時又考Final Exam. 請問Final exam 會否考外語，例如法文，西班牙文，latin?

If you study in Hong Kong and don't take any foreign languages or Latin, you can ask for an exemption.

My friend’s son needs to take foreign languages, he came from an international school. But if you exempt foreign languages, will that be enough to make up the 10 subjects in IGCSE?

It's only exemption from the common entrance test for confirmation of Winchester entry. Once you get into Winchester, you'll still have to take Latin (compulsory) and at least one foreign language. The student will have three years to prepare for GCSE.

Incorrect. Winchester and Eton both take year 9s only (13+) meaning the boys are 13 by September of their year of entry. Registration of application must be made before the boy is 10.5. There may be a limited of spaces for year 12 (16+) entry.

As for the process, both Winchester and Eton now require the students to take the ISEB as a pre-test. Successful candidates are invited to interview at the schools in UK. Eton will require a second test with interviews while WInchester will focus on interviews only.

Successful candidates are then offered a conditional offer (based on them being fairly successful at the common entrance exams taken at year 8). Hong Kong candidates that do not take foreign languages and latin/greek may negotiate for an exemption from these subjects at the common entrance exams. But once the students gain entry to Winchester, they will still have to take Latin (compulsory) and at least one foreign language.
