We are considering offers from these two schools. Any parents could help share their experience with these schools in terms of academics, discipline and parents’ communities ? For ECA, are both schools at additional costs ? Many thanks!

My girl is in FIS Yr 1.  She likes her school a lot.
FIS's International Stream follows British curriculum which I find it structured and inspiring.  Kids have lots of hand on experiences in their learning.

Teachers are in general loving and caring, the school management is not as 'French' as we expect.  They were quite responsive to parents.

ECA needs to pay separately, they will arrange school bus to drop kids at certain drop off points after ECA (no door to door bus service for ECA).

My daughter is in TKO campus, the new and spacious campus is certain a plus.

hihi, we would like to apply FIS yr 2 for our girl, but heard that it is almost impossible to get in if no EU passport, is it true? many thanks in advance for your sharing.

True. They can only take 2% local passport holders. As the queue of locals are very long for TKO campus, it becomes very hard to get a place for locals there.

there's no extra priority for EU passport. it's any foreign passport vs local.

I will pick FIS, because I like British curriculum at primary , IGCSE then IBDP. This way the primary is more structured and yet, they will instil some IB skills in primary, like the thinking of maths (not just calculating), how to research and planning, and emphasis in collaboration.
For pure British curriculum, it’s more like our traditional way of learning, although it’s still not as spoon feeding as local schools and the curriculum and teaching methods are more interesting.
Having said that, some kids might find themselves more suitable for A level or IB later, and they can still switch at secondary.

同意，仲有kellett 唔係人人啱口味，要去自己入學校感受吓佢個種culture係咪接受到，我朋友之前入咗去讀一年唔係好適合轉走咗

請問所指的culture 係咪主要因為外國人佔大多數、香港人好少所造成的現象？有意為仔仔申請，所以想知多些，謝謝！

唔太係，最好自己book school tour感受吓，佢當初就係冇做所以入到去先知唔啱。

話分兩頭，另一個朋友小朋友讀到中學，不過都係一樣咁講，要接受到佢個culture

兩年前參加過IS嘅展覽，其中一個係Kellet，校長講talk。感覺上係好典型嘅英國私校，著重discipline，就真係睇個人喜好。不過佢成績係好，睇返A-level成績，好過英國私校平均分。如果想小朋友讀A-level呢個係唔錯選擇。

朋友話，school tour 最好同幾個老師傾吓計，如果識得在讀家長，同佢地了解清楚啲情況。
如果聽普通school talk,唔太可能知道適唔適合自己.

We passed the FIS RC assessment but awaiting vacancy, submitted application in Aug 2019, local passport, JL campus. Hope to receive offer very soon.

我兩間學校嘅School tour都去過， kellett 我同先生都覺得好好多。無論係老師嘅講解，學校嘅設施，佢都係似一間英國嘅私立學校. FIS 我唔鍾意老師 french accent , 不過我相信都係一間好學校。

面試表現有D影響，我朋友是Alumni，遲報，都係得waiting, 佢打去問，個老師話佢in得一般，所以排得好後，最後都排不到。

竟然係咁？

我睇過alumni 仔女應該有priority，然後先按報名次序... 可能JL campus 競爭侜激烈好多...

我女係慢熱型，我都幾肯定佢入到去唔係俾得太多反應

只係佢講佢有whisper 到啲答案俾老師聽... 好彩我地報TKO campus，foreign passport 幫左一把。

已經多年前，那時未咁缺foreign passport,同以前未有TKO。
