剛剛暑假在richmond住了一個月, 可以答你真係好多港人同中國人, 好多華人mall, 華人超市, 華人食店, 茶記, 基本上你只須識揸車睇英文街牌,就可以完全不講英文。就算佢地的UBC大學都勁多華人, 所以我就算有家人也不考慮溫哥華和多倫多這兩個城市讀書, 感覺同在香港差不多, 只是回到學校多D人講英文, 但社交圈子都是集中華人。 surrey我有揸車去過, 係好多印度人住, 一個印度小社區咁。

我們揸車去果邊係因家人有工作要過去一日, 據佢地講surrey租金,樓價, 物價比較平, 集中一些印度, 南亞移民住, 華人比較小, 咁亦有加拿大人住, 治安佢地話差小小.但又不是想咁差。

只係自己個人性格問題, 自己唔係好信 agent 講野, 我自己會 e-mail 直接聯絡問心儀嗰幾間 school board & 私校所有問題 e.g. 收唔收國際學生、出年有無 G10 位、homestay 安排、學費、遞交文件方法、reference letter 邊個寫等 …. 全部我 e-mail 問, 都無叫 agent 問

另外, 我嗰啲心儀基督教學校無邊間 agent 做, 如果我要報呢啲特定學校我要俾 $$ 俾 agent 的, 一間 agent收 $7,000 全包申請學校+做簽證; 另一間收$1XXX 行政申請費 + $3,000 簽證.

所以, 我打算自己直接向學校交文件申請, 學校回覆有位收阿女時先至搵 agent 攪, 費時我俾錢 agent 攪最後無學位無學校收阿女去唔成加拿大留學, 白白唔見咗幾千銀 agent 費 (我想慳啲錢嘛)

P.S. 依家暫時只得一間基督教公立學校我可以試吓申請咋, 其餘心儀幾間全部唔洗申請喇, 因為一係唔再收國際學生, 一係無 ESL (要 native English 才可入讀)

但西溫治安和Surrey 比就像半山和深水埗比一樣。西溫是半山，Surrey 是深水埗。

如果你有選擇就任何一個區都好過Surrey啦
任何一個區都有好或者唔好嘅學校，West Vancouver 一樣，我細個住West Vancouver ，住好舒服但係交通唔方便。我不知道home stay 點work，你要研究埋小朋友點樣返學和外出。
Vancouver school district 即係溫哥華市囉，有好多學校揀。

最後，上星期終於俾咗幾千銀 agent 攪 Calgary 一間基督教公校申請，依家等緊學校校長 skype faith interview 安排，然後再等消息睇吓學校有無學位及收唔收。

如果呢間學校無位唔收，到時我可能會申請西温或温哥華公校。

school District No.23(Central Okanagan)，呢個school board剛收咗阿女。學校回覆2019-2020整個校區只係收咗6x位中國學生。

校區收國際學生情況透明度好高，而且普遍學校的排名都幾好

1) 我見呢個 school district 需要 2 位學校老師寫推薦信, 而推薦信又要用學校信紙寫.

Two Letters of Recommendation. Please have a teacher, school counselor, or Headmaster/Principal write a letter of recommendation for the applicant. These letters should be on school letterhead and identify the student and their strong points. If these letters are longer than one page, make sure you scan all pages as a single document.

想問問你之前申請時, 係咪真係要俾 2 位小孩學校老師用學校信紙寫嘅推薦信?

2) 另外, 呢個 school district 一般 agent 都無代理, 你係自己申請? 抑或係俾錢俾agent 幫你申請呢?

3) 此外, 疫苗記錄, 係咪一開始申請時要交? 是否交小朋友由幼稚園至小六針卞俾 school district ?
