Victoria Shanghai Academy (VSA) congratulates their Class of 2019 for their impressive results on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma examinations this year. One VSA student achieved the perfect IB score of 45 points and six VSA student achieved a near-perfect 44 points. The cohort achieved a 100% pass rate, with an average mean score of 37.9, the highest in VSA history. For the fourth year in a row, VSA’s average score is above 36 points. 93.9% of our students achieved above the global mean score of 30. 47% of students achieved 40 points or higher in their IB results. A total of 32 students received the Bilingual Diploma.

in 2019 IB Diploma Examinations
Saturday, July 6, 2019
CDNIS is pleased to congratulate the members of its Class of 2019 for their excellent IB Diploma Programme results and for once again far surpassing the IBDP worldwide average. CDNIS has one of the largest DP cohorts in Hong Kong at 114 students. It is the sixth consecutive year a CDNIS student has achieved a perfect score.
• One student gained the maximum 45 points
• Nine students scored 43 or 44 points
• The average score was 36.2
• 23 students scored 40 points or higher
• 12 students received the Bilingual Diploma

All 53 of our IB graduates have either received unconditional offers from leading universities or met the requirements of the conditional offers of their choice.
University Offers
Our IBDP students have received offers from prestigious local and overseas universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial, LSE and UCL in the UK; Brown, Stanford, Cornell, Duke, Georgetown, Penn, and UCLA in the US; and Science Po - Columbia, USC- HKUST- Bocconi, Kyoto University, Peking University, HKU-UCL for other countries.
Scholarships
Scholarships received by our IBDP students include the Swire Scholarship to Oxford, St John's College Scholarship to Cambridge and the Prince Philip Scholarship to Cambridge.
IB Results
- The average score of our 2019 cohort is 41 (out of a full score of 45).
- Of our 53 students, 1 got a score of 45, 11 got a score of 44, and 6 got a score of 43.
- 23% of our students got a score of 44 or above, compared to the world’s 1.2%.[td]

直資中spcc好似係要求中文皆A，全部考生考ib計，cky有9成多取bilingual diploma, 假設中文皆A，应係全港最多

我知spcc，dbs中文皆A，但英文係唔係A呢？中文考A，其它科用英文都係bilingual diploma，所以睇唔出英文考乜，真道係咁，中文A英文B，全部係bilingual。咁我諗到cis中文應該多數都係B。

其實是否bilingual diploma真的不重要，科目選擇合適自己，又配合到大學要求，已達目標。
學生的bilingual diploma究竟是中英皆A, 定中A英B, 細閱每校的IB prospectus 或profile會一清二楚。
eg. SPCC 2018年有33人讀Eng B, 30人讀Eng A; 這個舊的例子只想說明討論要建基於實際資料，不應靠估。

thanks, checked 2018 SPCC school profile and you are right, and for me it is quite surprising. I recalled both A was mentioned in some press interviews, perhaps only referring to individuals ones.

CIS 可選中文A / B, 選B的約70人，選A的20多人；但英文只有A.
過去SPCC也有人考Chi B，但不多；而DBS則一直有French B及Initio讓學生選擇而不用考中文。

我也覺得 bilingual diploma 不太重要
我又唔係 aim Law, Medicine, 或其他神科
人家根本不需要我 中英選 language A

暫時只在EK睇過話中大医如果其他條件相同，中英皆A有優勢。個人睇法，如孩子有能力考A而為分數選B，並不鼓勵

同意，ib AB原本為不同人群設計，但為攞高分而考B好似投機取巧，但都無法避免。
我想問多一句，Eng A or B申請海外大學有影響嗎？

睇邊一科，有D会講明要Eng A HL, 如考B，去英國要考IELTS，亦有家長在EK話不用考，最好自己 check 下

36 Singapore International School (Hong Kong) (SISHK) students on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme received their results for the May 2019 session today.
A total of 10 students out of 36, scored at least 40 points with one student scoring 44 points. The average score of the cohort was 35.9 points with a 94% pass rate.
Each year, our students receive offers to study from reputable overseas and Hong Kong universities. This year is no different with students receiving offers from universities such as Imperial College London (UK), Warwick University (UK), King’s College London (UK), Duke University (USA), University of Michigan (USA), Yale-NUS (Singapore), Singapore University of Social Sciences, Hong Kong University, Chinese University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to name a few.
“I must congratulate our students and teachers for these good results. I am very proud that all their hard work and perseverance has led to these achievements in their studies and their personal growth. Among this small and yet diverse cohort, I am very pleased to see our students form a tight-knit and supportive SISHK Family in the process. Sis 是所有學生考IB,所以每年都有學生fail.
因為有部分考得好的中四學生會回新加坡或去英國讀A level, 所以IB成績不能反映全部。

升上ib有無最低要求? 如太勉強上亦未必係好事

多謝澄清，可能我之前一直以為傳統學校IB只可以考A。重新study 過syllabus，再問人，對，可以Chinese B, 也有Eng B. 不過如果如果選擇英文A，就要讀 Eng Lit A. 還有同學要考慮自己大學想入讀的科目. 昨日去聽了海外升學講座，高年級同學如果打算海外升學，最後2年準備考試之餘，更多精力要放在準備申請大學，面試，考SAT等等，的確非常辛苦。
真心佩服這些孩子！

好明顯一般國際學校平均比本地傳統名校差不多或更好， 而最好的國際學校比本地神校已超出一段距離。我曾比較過不同制度， 發覺國際學校的學生在科學數學（初中）已大大超出本地程度。 原來是國際學校教學更有效率。。。

其實選神科的學生才犯不著中英讀A；假設選本地醫科，國際學校的學生會自然選英文A(SL)去fulfill group one的要求，然後在group 2盡量希望可以讀中文B的SL, 這樣就可以在策略上較容易取得高分。如學校不容許學生捨難取易地讀中文B, 學生會寧棄選中文，改為讀Spanish/French/Japanese的B，甚至initio level.
如是本地生讀IBDP, 則會在Group one選中文A的SL, 而在group two選Eng B, 這樣英文程度既容易一點，但又同時保持了bilingual的優勢；是一個不錯的策略。

Score 參考下好了，不用太認真。今年我知 for a fact that 有學生 PG 38 已有牛津 offer，PG 44 無任何 UK uni offer，另一個 PG45 無任何 Ivy League offer.

基本上PG40分左右，actual score 38 左右，牛劍也有機。識幾個牛津CO都係 38 分左右，當然 actual score 高過 38 不少。

根據 2018 CKY IGCSE result , 約有 96.6% 係 A*-C grade,
而 CKY IBDP 係要求學生 IGCSE 攞 6C 或以上 ，
如果每個學生係 IGCSE 係考6科以上，咁應該係 接近100% 學生可以讀 IB ！

不肯定係前2年 是否開少2班，或是走了一批人，
或是有一批人不能讀IB，
可能要等2年後 ，2021年考IB的人數。
但根據 2018年 IGCSE 成績，確實係大部份人達標，可直上IB。

其實只系學生走了去外國或其他學校啫。不夠6C更加會自己走，因為IB都可能拿20分+左右，不如諗其他出路

I heard, in particular SC, those who got 45 full mark in IB are transferred from local elite schools. They are not from foundation schools.Anyone have a clue here?

冇人走，又冇位點收名校生？頂多year 7 收十個八個（有local school , 有其他IS)
其他年級，只有零聲插班

應該唔存在 "考唔到6C，連IBDP都無得考，梗係要走" 呢個問題，
相反，可能係有更多人 IGCSE 成績太好，被拔尖 和 有一批直接出國讀書，
而 CKY 一向少收 IBDP 外校生，所以形成少 30% 學生考 IB 和 IB 平均分偏低 的現象！

睇名都幾多hk人... 都有D機會係名local轉過去.. (純粹估)

CKY 今年的mean score是38.73，怎能說偏低？

其實考得IB, 預咗來自五湖四海；ESF不斷有插班生，同樣DBS/SPCC/GSIS/CIS亦然。

因為佢本身入校係以居住地點計⋯攪到我有d擔心
