想請教，如果我有以下考試証書，大家會考慮放邊幾張落 Portfolio 呢？

LCM Pre-preparatory (Distinction)
LCM Step 1 (Distinction)
LCM Step 2 (Distinction)
ABRSM Grade 1 (Pass)

我會縮印LMC 三張一起，之後寫LMC distinction (step 2, step 1 and preparatory) 表示連續性。

FYI, from those I know, kids who have got in highly-sought-after schools with musical talents achieved at least Grade 3 in piano or Grade 2 in violin by K3... It seems that any musical instrument cert of grade 1 or lower can only show that your child is currently learning to play an instrument, and is no difference from say a teacher's letter proofing that your child is progressing.

ABRSM 認受性較高，Grade 1 pass不算突出但只有幾歲人仔pass到都唔係易事
我會建議例晒你呢四個exam的成績出黎,提交ABRSM grade 1 cert copy

重點放喺小朋友肯練肯堅持學，係優點黎的，不用太介意成績，要pass到Grade 1 , 也不是個個幼稚園生做到！好叻呀你小朋友！

只放ABRSM就夠，其他果3張認受性唔高，建議慳返d位放其他好過

我覺得放幾張cert的原因不是表示小朋友音樂有幾叻，而是表示對一個興趣的持續性。學咗幾年，次次有distinction, 唔使理認受性，都表示小朋友對音樂有興趣，一直在玩，而且可能有繼續發展的空間。一句話講，有潛質。
不放ABRSM G1，pass, 是擔心“漏底”

因為大家都知道如果G1pass, 其實去考，程度好勉強。給人為考而考的感覺。

其實連考三次LCM 初階，已有為考而考的感覺。

From my friend who's a very experienced piano teacher herself -- a teacher who asks students to take pre-LCM or ABRSM Grade 1 are too commercialized, too "為考而考". First few years should be about foundation-building, not preparing for entry-level exams. Normally a good teacher would only ask the student to start taking exams if the student is at least ready for Grade 2 (meaning will get at least distinction). The old-fashioned teachers will even skip all until Grade 4 or 5.

It is better to get a good recommendation from the piano teacher, who can comment on the child's progress and talk about the child's passion and commitment.

我地都有考LCM 但跳STEP咁考..Pre-preparatory (DISTINCTION), STEP 2 (DISTINCTION) NOW 去到OCT 考ABRSM GRADE 2
