Like to warn that the new English teacher since 2017/18 is a bitch. No exaggeration. This school is not cool anymore. If you can't stand BS in traditional school, expect a whole new level of dishonesty, irresponsibility, pretentiousness and insult from her. She's like ... the chief executive of Hong Kong.

Also, don't expect the school to teach anything. The task falls to the parents; and they complain as if it is your job. Think McDonalds. Kids love it and parents are bothered.

Staying away from traditional school is good. Yet over there, it's pretty much a different form of control - their way or the highway. What you really want is to do it your way. Try doing it there and see what happens.

Culture encourages mediocracy and they think it's the best. If there's anything they can win, they totally figure out an excuse to go the opposite direction and feel good about it.

You see, it is home schooling with a perceived mode of happiness that you're paying for and conforming to. Not worth it. That complacent culture is the worst. Remember, you always have a choice. If you have a troubled kid, taking him/her out of the system is better than going there.

The only reason that this school exists is because schools in Hong Kong are generally horrible and parents think they have no better choice. Doesn't make it any good at all. Think harder. This might look like an easy way out but that's exactly why it makes a good trap.

Personal experience ? So this is worse than local school ?

Do they cater for special needs ?

Personal experience. Not worse but just as bad in a different way. Narrow-minded people with different doctrines, which they can't even uphold by hiring someone from the opposite camp.

(Special needs) If they say they do, they're not doing a good job. Again, one teacher can negate everything, and they still look on you to fix things that occurs in the school setting, triggered by things out of your control and increasingly frequently by their own staff. In the end, they, perhaps naturally care more about their own interest. What really pisses me off is when they go out of their way to try securing it. This I'm counting the admin office. Turns out that they are closer to the education bureau than one might think and won't hesitate to resort to threats. No matter. Tricks are for kids.
