University of Warwick / LLB 3 years
University of Edinburgh / LLB 4 years Scot Law
University of Edinburgh / MA Government, Politics 4 years

Practicing law in Hong Kong or elsewhere is not a must. My daughter just thinks law is a good training. Which one would you choose as firm choice? Many thanks!

Would you please tell the rationale behind for your choice? Btw, do you think Edinburgh has a bigger name even though I know that Warwick has a better ranking in some league tables. Many thanks for your advice.

個人感覺政府，政治才是佢興趣與能力所在，選法律可能會係滿足家人現實性選擇。

Personally, I also prefer MA in Government over law. Law is not my cup of tea. In fact, I asked my daughter to study Philosophy or Engish Literature in a traditional university like Edinburgh because I think career-oriented program is too narrow in this ever-changing world. Instead of being an expert who will easily be replaced by AI sooner or later, training for independent and critical thinking seems more important. But my daughter seems to love studying law. For law only, is still Edinburgh’s better than Warwick’s. Thanks!

I browse student room in uk from time to time as my daughter has opened an account.

Warrick seems to be one of the top choices of uk students

If choosing Warwick as firm choice, Edinburgh will not be the insurance since they ask for the same results. For the insurance choice, we will pick from either Durham or Lancaster. Thanks for your help.
