11/2018 Cardiff 有學校職員來港，面試我女兒，我女兒讀緊10年級，我女兒打算報讀GCSE，不過唔係我們家長自己選擇，最後12月份收到學校通知收了我女兒讀12年級，不需要我女兒讀GCSE。

我女兒起初考UKISET先，再考Cardiff 試卷，我女兒說考得唔係幾好，再考IELTS，我自己覺得應該收我女兒是面試合格。

呢個表不是完全正確的，實際上成績更好，阿女有啲同學少咗啲**，實際入medic嘅係更多
，香港方面5-6個MBChb，6-7個MBBS，2個Dentistry

學習模式同香港差不多，都係上課、操past paper、考試咁。老師方面，其實都幾好，大部分肯教肯指導（當然對勤奮嘅學生會比較好），但不會太close 。
校園生活方面，可能我女不大喜歡活動，所以都冇乜點參與，但Biology 有好多field trip ，有好多Club ，又有Drama及其每年都有大show，X’mas Ball，Culture event等等。
學生成績未如理想的，要視乎差成點，學校要求AAB，但你攞ABB，要看個B差幾多分，如果少少的可酌情處理，所以阿女AS嗰年只係走咗幾個人，咁A2整體嘅成績就冇2017咁好。

有好多好多Talk 聽，另每一個學生都會安排一個諮詢人（1 to 1 consultation)，Grade 13開學後有此安排；回港升學均是自行報名，不過要留意日期，UCAS都係自己報的，但諮詢人會指導你及俾意見你。

18以下仍需監護人，但可揾在英國的朋友親戚。監護人每半年探訪一次學生及寫報告，
監護人有乜作用？阿女間房暖氣壞了，學校維修要排，但天氣開始凍，於是搵監護人聯絡學校，很快便維修了！另外，情緒上有問題都可找他/她傾訴一下。

我女在1A津校全級三十左右
另外，表內有幾位考得不大好的，可能有些在UCAS放榜後都有offer，有些則自己揾漏網之魚，看看有沒有位，或者有一兩個去澳洲。不過，阿女也不太清楚，因修讀科目不同。

回港已不會有人接送，阿女喜歡坐火車，因為火車快，大約兩小時，又舒適，但價錢可能是coach的兩倍有多，但係火車如果你有買學生優惠年票，就會平一點，坐Coach平啲，但要約2-3小時，就屈住2-3小時。
另外，阿女由宿舍去火車站佢會call Uber ，車程不用10分鐘，亦可以行去車站，大約15-20分鐘，但通常攞住好多行李又大褸咁，所以她會call Uber 。
火車要坐到Paddington，再轉去Heathrow 。這是上年年中資料，唔知有沒有更新的或者其他更快的路線。

The minimum  required scores or grades for some of the more commonly accepted examinations are listed below.  Applicants should have attained one of the following qualifications and the corresponding minimum scores or grades to be  considered for admission to the University.

Waiver of the Chinese language admission requirement may be  granted, at the discretion of the Faculty Deans concerned, on the condition  that the non-JUPAS applicant concerned should have pursued a curriculum leading  to a recognised non-local qualification at secondary or above level prior to  admission.

我指嘅係香港Poly U嘅物理治療同HKU medic嘅offer，因為NJ Poly U嘅interview會在三月，而HKU嘅medic MMI在十二月，in完未必會即出CO，除非你特別出眾，然而poly u在六月出offer，所以交咗＄，到八月出咗成績就即刻收到HKU offer 而decline 咗Poly U offer

另外，中大medic就分咗幾輪interview ，但大部分都係等AL出咗成績就有offer，當然除咗你in得特別出色喇

另外，英國方面CSFC甚少人會放physio第一、二、三，通常只會放五或四五，因UCAS 5個選擇可放4個medic，所以通常都入咗medic而冇入physio

其實有好少部分人會入咗UK嘅medic，然後Y2之後轉返香港，呢啲多數入唔到香港嘅medic，所以入咗英國嘅先，因為英國medic唔駛收到咁多A*都可以入到，不過重中之重係你要有英國或歐盟護照

一般名校, 都會踢y12 升y13 的人走

用mock , 或as level 成績, 但通常好差, 才要求你走,

例如as level 3條D 達不到

始終攪教育, 教育就是將一個不行的學生, 變行

找到自己的人生方向

英國學校一般很包容, 唯獨是CARDIFF

真係很凶殘

但你不能怪CARDIFF

因為出精英, 就是殺手, 中的殺手

選了一批殺手後, 大家之間互相撕殺, 活下來的就是精英中的精英


CARDIFF 教育水準一般, 靠自己讀書

一般學生IGCSE 5A星, 就會收

我見到好多學生,跟唔到

今年Y13, 我見到80香港人, 40人伸請港大, 中大醫科

你入得這些學校, 就是博醫,博LAW,博CAMBRIDGE/OXFORD

無其他野要攪, 就是攪個精英子女出來

其中一單, 不開心的事

就是化學LAB,  成班FAIL , 因為化學卷的LAB

你做唔到答案要求的ANSWER , 狂扣分
FAIL左成班不少 同學, 同學做唔到TITRATION 個ANSWER

只FAIL 其中一份實驗卷,WRITTEN 佢地無問題


ALEVEL 改制後, 大部份ALEVEL 考試轉了LINEAR

但CARDIFF 沿用WJEC  考試局, 仲有AS,A2 LEVEL



但你仔女會非常辛苦, 要有心理準備, 打一場硬杖
想見識精英撕殺, 首選CARDIFF

收,我都建議小孩去讀, 見識下, 但必須準備充分

否則, 輸得很慘

一般5A星, 跟唔到CARDIFF 的進度的

訓身讀書才有機會活下來


CARDIFF 有眼耳口鼻, 有呼吸聲, ,有5A星IGCSE就會收

對一般香港人來說, 易收

Y12 考AS LEVEL , 考唔到成績,踢你走, 學校無所謂

你是香港人, 符合以上條件, 就會收

但一場大程度的撕殺, 準備開始, 似乎好多人未準備好

中大醫科，　都會肯收ＣＡＲＤＩＦＦ學生

Cardiff Sixth Form College 不是一間傳統學校，是一間私人補習社，差不多全部學生是海外學生，英國人甚少報讀這間學校，上課模式是操卷+操卷，學校設施只有班房+班房，沒有其他學校應有的設施(e.g. 球埸)，很多學生因考試成績承受很大壓力(跟香港一樣)

如果只為了亮麗成績入大學，這間學校可以比到你，但要全人發展式教育，這間學校會令你失望，家長要問問自己送子女去英國讀書的目的

The students’ day to day experience at the college was busy with lessons starting at 8 am and often continuing until late evening and on Saturdays. Some said they were able to manage these demands; some said they had little time to do anything other than to study and some said that they felt pressured on a daily basis and worried about failing to meet the demands of their studies. Feedback and our observations indicated that the students were under considerable pressure though staff members were responsive in providing them advice and support.

In the absence of such information, the college had been unable to fulfil its duty to safeguard and promote their welfare.

In November 2016, the former trustees of the College were the subject of an inquiry by the Charities Commission due to failure to submit their accounts on time. 其實，Cardiff學生入英國top university 情況一般。因為top university 要求學生參加不同校外活動，這方便Cardiff是少放資源。

報讀英國醫科無需一定要有英國或歐盟護照，可以報international student，只係每年的位有限，劍橋大學，UCL等大學網站有列出每年收海外醫學生的限定名額。
