My son is studying in King's Canterbury.
Right, there is not much comments found here. One of the reason is the school doesn't have a large population coming from HK. The other reason I learnt is King's doesn't lie much on agents to feed them students. Hence, it is not on the list of many agents 
. Even AA is the administration agent only. Many of the HK students are either children of old boys (King's becomes a co-edu school in 1990s) or children of expatriates working in HK or those apply directly to the school. The school has a cocktail reception for HK parents and the Old Kings every year in September. Many are there, with the discussions.
I would say King's is a school that houses students of different talents and capabilities. Some are academic, some are excellent in music and sports. Its rowing team is very well known in UK. Besides, there's the King's Week every year in late June after school exams. It's more than a drama and music performance week which attracts lots of tourists and visitors.
Some comment it's not academic. Of course, it's not at par with Eton, Westminster, Wycombe Abbey, Tonbridge. However, if one looks at the Oxbridge admission number / university destinations, it's above many that get higher A*-A percentage.
Some dislike the school campus being too scattered. It's a school that with 1000+ years of history. The current school premises is built with numerous expansions. It's sport center is very well equipped and it's at city grade that opens for the Canterbury community during school holidays.
One unique feature is the school itself is situated in two of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.
All in all, whether a school is good depends very much on whether it fits in what one wants to achieve.

我覺得兩間都是有聲譽的學校，整體成績不俗，如果學生有資質及用功唸書，大部分畢業生應該可以進入著名大學。你女兒的個性及取向是重要關鍵。對家長來説，學校與機場的距離也是考慮因素之一。

Oundle and King's are very similar I would say - in terms of history, reputation, academic performance... They are both full boarding in nature, 75%+ are boarding students, considerable majority is local British. Both are 7 days / week - very busy school life.
It would be quite hard to pick between two. As an overall, Oundle is a bit on the upper hand in terms of academic performance but not that far apart. Location of King's is a bit better, city of Canterbury is nicer. Oundle is stronger in Science subjects whereas King's is relatively all rounded.
I was in the same dilemma 
On point worth noting is students of King's have to do service for the Canterbury Cathedral occasionally on Sundays, taking turns. The Canterbury Cathedral is part of the school.

Oundle 只係waiting
Oundle is about 50% larger in student population than Shrewsbury and King's Canterbury. That may be a useful consideration if your daughter wants to be in a bigger pool. All 3 schools have really good reputation in giving all-rounded education with excellent academic results. You cannot go wrong with any one of them. Is your daughter sporty, or musical? Does she like shopping, or art?

Oundle is cira 1,000 students whereas King's is around 8xx.

You may find out more about the Music Department of King's. Parents said it is fabulous, whereas the science laboratories of Oundle are described as amazing.
It's a happy headache .
P.S. my son doesn't like music nor drama. Hence, we don't have much idea.

Oundle 是全英國最多學生的co-educational boarding school 之一， Oundle 有學生約1100-1200人，Shrewsbury 及 King’s Canterbury 的學生約800人。 今天是我第一次聽到Oundle 成績有保障D，願聞其詳。

我聽到的是某間B字頭的學校，比20年前，愈來愈出各，成績愈來愈好而已。Oundle 確實是出名的大校，不過以成績來看，B校最近真的很好。

Oundle 一直都很出名，只是來自香港的學生不多。同樣地，Oundle 亦是不需要agent 轉介學生的學校之一。

我們是同一類型的人，大家都緊張兒女的教育，亦希望幫他們找到適合的學校。你的女兒是入Year 9 or Year 11? 她對於近shopping 有沒有要求？如果她有機會可以去看看這兩間(或三間)學校，可能她的抉擇可能會有決定性的影響。

女兒將會讀year 10, 我地已經參觀了這三間學校，女兒比較喜歡kings, 但我覺得宿舍和其他facilities 都係oundle好D

喜歡Full-boarding男女校，一般會考慮Kings /Oundle, 兩間都是非常好的學校。多年在英國訪校，我對兩所學校印象都極佳。有時候憑直覺去選校亦非壞事。感覺下來,如果學生比較artistic，通常會喜歡Kings環境；如果更在意science/DT 設施，一般會認可Oundle。 當年參觀Science Centre時，有家長代表表示，這可能是全英國中學設備最齊全的lab。據說Imperial亦會利用學校設施作為Regional Hub ，推廣STEM/outreaches
如果細心比較Sixth Form 科目選項，Kings/Oundle都有採用Pre-U Cambridge 課程取替A-level,一般相信Pre-U較具挑戰性。Kings Pre-U 科目傾向語文類，Oundle較多理科修讀Pre-U。選用Pre-U 是否比A-level優越，見人見智，純粹提出來，作參考用。

It depends on how deep you read the A level results. If one looks at the A level results in context of university destinations, it may end up in a slightly different picture.
Take an example - 2018 leavers' destinations King's Vs Oundle
Oxbridge - 19 vs 18
LSE - 8 vs 3
Imperial - 3 vs 6
UCL - 9 vs 6
So called "G5" - 39 vs 33
Durham - 7 vs 11
Edinburg - 13 vs 16
So called "Popular 7" - 59 vs 60
Both schools have approximately 180+/- leavers each year.
Frankly speaking, King's has a relatively more diversified pool of students in different talents and capabilities - some go music college, some go to Art university and some take sports as career. These segments won't contribute much to the school's A*/A percentage, where the ranking is based on.

其實呢，好多人都心儀w字頭那些學校，無論男女，好像好多人其實係無得選
樓主的女兒希望今年9月入某co-educational school 的Year10 ，所謂W字頭的學校, 共有三間比較出名的，一間是全男校，另一間在倫敦亦是男校，只有女生入Form 6(恐怕今年不適合)，最後第三間是全女校，與co-educational school 的目的不同。再者，每間入學考試的制度及時間表也不同, I would be surprised if any one of them were still open for registration for this coming September!
