跨學科課程不是新生事物，亦肯定不是港大這個什麼課程。

近十多年前的是近期開始多人留意的 Biomedical Engineering，理大是第一個開辦，一直是跨學科課程。電腦，電子，機械及醫學！中大更加可以 Double degrees 加埋 BBA！

近牌少見你踪影。

我識兩個後生女，同是 UK biomedical science 畢業，呢幾年仕途也只是麻麻地。是否 science 不是 engineering 呢？

Biomedical Science difficult to get decent jobs in HK, more chance in overseas.

For BME, better position in HK, particularly after passing the bill in LegCo on Medical Device Pre-market Listing and Post Market Surveillance.

Just curious.Why can't BMS people do medical device listing and monitoring?

BME is more multidisciplinary and for MD listing - safety more related to engineering, efficacy also related to medical and clinical. Lack of engineering knowledge, difficult to assess the safety concerns in terms of mechanical, electrical, electronics, compute ring and clinical.

You are also right in the past, BME is not a program, many MD regulatory professional are come from BMS, Pharmacy, Biochemical and Biotechnology etc. As more and more BME graduates globally, the landscapes changed.

For those without engineering background, they have handicap and can only work on secondary listing. For primary listing, wide range of engineering disciplines is a must, BME more suitable.

環保工程呢D學科, 都要捱咗幾年先開始有收成, Biomedical Science應該仲要捱多一段時間
