我想是大部分人的誤解吧，是的蘇格蘭人有他們的口音，但都是可控制的，他們也能刻意說一口英音，只是有很多蘇格蘭人不想，甚至刻意告訴你他是蘇格蘭人。
至於孩子讀書，若讀本土學校，是的，孩子會有點蘇格蘭口音，因同學都是蘇格蘭本土人。
但若在說國際學校（私校），我暫時看不見有這問題，師資與本地學校不一樣啊，起碼我孩子沒有這問題，當然他也能說一點點有蘇格蘭音的英語，甚至拿來說笑。

至於4年大學，也是有點誤解吧，蘇格蘭大學是4年，但他們完成中學也早一年，而我喜歡蘇格蘭體系因為他們的中學教育比較接近大學，學生非常熟練大學的學習模式，至於英格蘭長大的學生，有些可能需要時間適應大學。
我知道蘇格蘭「私立學校」的學生，很多都除了考蘇格蘭的公開考試，還會考英格蘭的試（注：是不會另外攻讀才去考試的那種）。所以⋯⋯⋯
